Monk may well be jazz piano's GOAT, but what pushes him way over the top is his headwear and jewelry. Let's just admit it: the man knows how to accessorize.
that was Butch Warren playing bass with Monk in Japan in 1963. That same year he also played bass on Kenny Dorham's album Una Mas. you may recognize the names of other personnel on the album.
