I thought of this but was afraid that they might realize I was playing poker and close my account. Do you think they might still do it now that it's been a few weeks?

Also, I went to see the professor in charge of the math department and he referred me to another professor who wasn't in, so I have to get in contact with her. He did say that my chances would be much better next fall, but didn't say not to bother trying for this spring. He also seemed really nice and kind of quirky, and I kind of want to take his classes now. :s

Also checked in with the Academic Center again and one person recommended that I tutor as a volunteer for this semester because they're low on funds and tend to hire people who have volunteered with them for their paid positions.

Then I mentioned I was doing well in Physics and he seemed pretty interested, because they have multiple people for every subject and only one person tutoring physics. Hopefully the need for an additional physics tutor will help me get a paid position. I've got a B+ (very close to an A-) in this class, from which fully half of the students dropped. The rest are still struggling for their Cs, so I think I have a decent shot at this.

My mom's job (she works at a Tommy Hilfiger store) has also asked her if I could help out on Black Friday. If I do it, that might lead to a job down the line, since they expect to get busier as the season picks up. Might be a good idea to follow this?

Also going to hit up all the fast food places on my campus tomorrow. Are there any other places on a university that wouldn't advertise a need for assistance that I might be able to look into? I always see janitors around here. Not sure how they got their jobs, though.

Would it be a very bad idea to consider buying a bike and using it on the road if I don't know how to ride a bike? There are two shopping centers (outdoor malls?) within like 1-2 miles of my campus. A cheap one wouldn't cost that much out of my roll, right? I don't think I'll be moving up any time soon since the super turbo HUSNGs seem to have sucked all the fish out of the $33+ turbos on FTP.
