I put together something that Dynasty requested a while back. These probably tell ~nothing with a sample size of 10 tourneys, but here you go anyways. Stats of Variance is a beach tourney series. I changed the rating a bit with 4 rounds instead of 3 in those tourneys, it now values winning tourneys less, and max is 250.

I added a new stat to tourney results some time ago, and although the sample size isn't really that great, the percentages are now nicely in line with what is expected, so this is good time to post them.

So this is supposed to reflect how the odds of winning change by changing the amount of games played in matches. And indeed it seems like best of 9s are the most skill-based, followed by 7s, 5s, 3s and 1s in order.

Also, you missed best of 100s.

Yep, won one more match than lost with a game score of 1-1.

And wrt the best of 100, the total shown it that is for best of 1s, 3s, 5s, 7s and 9s. I also have one best of 6 match that isn't included. It was a best of 7 or 9 (don't remember which), but opponent only played 6 games, so I didn't classify that as best of 7/9, since I don't count byes as wins for the stats.

There was some kind of confusion earlier about the DC win totals after the update. Have people kept track of what they think their win totals should be? Obv shouldn't be that difficult to go back and count from the last update itt if needed. Would be easier without that though. I'm asking because I was thinking of doing some kind of quick analysis of win amounts using data from the challenge summary page. I should also finally check if I have any data saved from year 2012...

Hmm, I guess don't even need to know anything about the other win totals, can just compare the number of wins to what it currently says for totals. Lol me.

Also, paging NP for Black Widow stats after 50 tourneys. Or was the plan to wait for even more tourneys?

Missed edit by some minutes.

2010. Most winners on same day was just 5 on 8th of November. Interestingly 2010 had the biggest number of players who won at least one DC. Even more so considering there were only 213 DCs since first DC was played on 06-02-2010, played by three players, won by Mikus.

So yea, if these are correct, it seems like some players are missing wins after the latest ratings run. Hmm, some have too many as well.

Differences for players with at least 20 wins:
Paul -1
Dynasty -1
Alex +1
Derwi -1
anton -1
Zac -2
Kokirixx -1
TH10 -1
Donk4 -1
Sugartastic -1

So Alex somehow has one more win than he should according to this, several players are missing 1 win, Zac 2 wins.

Using my updates ITT I narrowed the suspect period down to 18th March - 13th July inclusive. Going through the DCs that list me as having won, I found what I suspected had happened, on the 13th May:

http://triplechain.net/challenges/23798

Alex won, but I was given the win on the listing. Which also explains Alex's +1. Luckily the counter doesn't go by the listings, so the count for Alex and me is correct.

Think Alex and I have the record of number of DC wins in a calendar month; 8 in June and March 2013 respectively. But Gaby pips us both to the number of wins in a 30-day period.

I had 8 several times:

05 Feb - 04 March http://triplechain.net/challenges/20338
23 Feb - 19 March http://triplechain.net/challenges/23743
03 March - 31 March http://triplechain.net/challenges/23755

As did Alex:

30 May - 26 June http://triplechain.net/challenges/31982
01 June - 30 June http://triplechain.net/challenges/31986
07 June - 03 July http://triplechain.net/challenges/31989

But Gaby had 9:

19 Jan - 15 Feb http://triplechain.net/challenges/20321

Good work, that likely explains the Alex thing, I was having trouble figuring out an explanation for that. There are various possible reasons why the other people are missing wins:
  • it for some reason skipped some DCs
  • it didn't award anyone a win in all the games where the original winner was removed (milma or kamacry)
  • not all players were awarded wins on all co-wins
  • combining the two above, maybe if the co-winner (milma or kamacry) was removed, it removed the win from other co-winners as well
  • something else

Difficult to figure out what the reason is though, but atm I'd believe these numbers over the ones listed on http://triplechain.net. Well, except for Alex and Paul, since there seems to be logical explanation for that, and that was a one-time incident.

Zac had 11 wins in June 2010.

Because I don't agree with you, I decided to check for Sugartastic. I found this for the 14th September 2011:

Not counted because of two scores?

Also, there were also 11 winners on 1st Sept 2011: http://triplechain.net/challenges/6454

How would you explain the missing wins then?

Wouldn't the last part support that the numbers are incorrect on triplechain.net?

I don't know. Something neither you nor I have thought of?

I think it's safe to say we can't be sure of either set of numbers where there are disagreements. Who wants to go through Dynasty's wins?

I had 43 wins on the site before the latest update, going through the listed wins gives the same number, the number on the site is currently 42. I believe some others had suspicions over their wins after the latest update as well. Some differences between the numbers on the site before and after could be explained by the previous run being incorrect, but not those numbers that are proven to be different using the list of winners.

Could there be something else? It isn't impossible, but Occam's razor says the recent update didn't work correctly.
