didn't want to risk him folding a queen, and wanted to set up a pot sized river shove. but i appreciate the inquiry!

there is like 1200 in the pot and you raise 500 more? is that right? that's pretty good. it sets up for a pot size ship on the river. i'd probably bet a little more on the turn myself. a lot of times the turn is the only money you'll see.


also about my hand, yes, i played it terribly in hindsight. i was sure he had one of 10 PP, and there were 6 pairs that he could have that he would fold, and 4 pairs he could have he wouldn't fold, and the 4 were less likely because some of the cards were on the board.

i was thinking since he only called my weak turn bet, he was weak. i can see now how we would call with a monster there too he had quads

my plan if i could do it again is to bet like 975 on the river. i think that gets called by a queen like 98% of the time, whereas 2249 only gets called like 20%

you were the preflop raiser on an AKx board, and you just so happen to have a straight draw and a flush draw, up against a very aggressive opponent, and you didn't 3-bet? why ****ing possibly not?

I guess I'll post my most interesting hand in awhile. 2-5 NL with deep stacks all around, a few orbits in, 2-3 limpers, button makes it 25 (he's an older guy in a no undershirt V-neck sweater with a Vince McMahon hairdo who is clearly trying to run the table, and is kind of doing it), SB (who is a 30-ish African American and really the only other active player so far) calls, I call with KhQh in the BB, two limpers call.

Flop is Th9d6s (or equivalent). Checks to the button, he bets 75, SB calls, I call, both limpers call (I think, maybe it was only one). Turn is 4h. Checks around to button, who bets 150. SB calls, I call, others fold. River is Qs. Check, check, button bets $275, SB calls pretty quickly. Does anyone find an overcall here? I really wanted to.

he is a gambler. if i shoved he was calling. his raise size told me that. i am flipping vs a pair, and he could easily have a better flush draw AND a pair(which i think he did).

so i'm flipping at best? with no fold equity. or i am getting it in way way behind
