Our heating is by air source heat pump. It may as well be magic. The government pays us to have it, too.

We also have a wood fire. Absolutely love it.

i've never owned a kettle. i think most kitchens have kettles, but idk how vital they are. americans constantly drink coffee, but i think they mostly have coffee making machines and servants at starbucks who make the coffee.

i've been drinking about 15 cups of iced green tea a week, for the last couple years. just at the casino though, so made by servants. no sugar or anything.

Kettles??? Who uses those? The secret to good tea is to super-heat the water in a microwave while steeping the tea leaves.

Just remember to duck the explosive steam when removing the cup.

Good God. Let us never speak of this heresy again.

I won’t be able to follow the Sheep convos.

Or the sheep convos.

But I’ll do my best to keep up with the **** convos.

Hey Mark! (wave)

I've spent the last few days (in the middle of storm Freya) trying to get these tanks to fill from the stream (off left) and then to fill the sheep's drinkers in the distance on the right. The idea is to have a bit of reserve in place for when the stream dries up in the summer.

It's a ****ing nightmare of water gradients and air pockets and the wrong ****ing pipe connectors. Hopefully tomorrow I should have one full tank high enough up to fill all the water troughs and not leaking, but recent experience suggests it'll be more like a half full tank and blocked pipe somewhere.

How many liters are those? 500 each? Seems like a lot of work for saving a small amount of money.

1000 litres each. It's not saving money, it's saving the time and effort of shipping several buckets of water up a hill, by hand, daily in the summer.
