It's been a lifetime since I had either decent American or Italian pizza. Go to japan and you can get pizza with mayo and seaweed flakes on.

Except that instead of amazing whores and hashish you get a wad of dough and heartburn.

OK, I've got nagging shoulder pain that won't go away. Been through physical therapy - helped some I guess. Pain ranges from 0 to maybe 4 but there's almost always some. I can still lift weights but it aggravates it somewhat and I can't lift as heavy as I would like.

Dr. wants to give me a steroid shot. I'm pretty opposed to this because I believe the long-term effects are negative.

get it or no?

You should get a second opinion from another doctor or post this question on a doctor's forum or something.

Well, I'm really trying to see if anyone has had this sort of thing done and how they fared.

Why are so many people self-banning?

Cortisone shot will temporarily reduce inflammation in the area which can allow healing to occur if the inflammation is preventing that.

Shots of this type can in fact have serious long-term effects to bone and muscle tissue. On the other hand, athletes have them all the time and it generally allows them to get back on the field with no major complications. If you have one shot it's likely to be harmless.

Oral cortisone is much more toxic, plus people tend to use it for chronic issues such as auto-immune.

As a long-term inflammation-fighting strategy, I prefer cod liver oil.

Anyone who's played sports at a high level and has taking cortisone shots knows the bad side of what it can do

Is cod liver oil different from standard fish oil?

I've been pounding the normal fish oil lately...no discernable health impact since I was fine before, but I have been thinking with extreme clarity as of late.
