Hate to invade IRTM's (BTW, congrats on the clean inspection) spotlight, but my wife and I just had an offer accepted to buy a house, and it was accepted.

I'm told that there were a few similar offers, but my 8-year old daughter wrote the seller a letter. The letter brought the seller to tears and that's why it was our offer that was accepted and not the others.

Inspection Saturday.

I'm working on a half sheep/half guesstimania for the new house. Why not try to fun up this stressful process?

Congrats!

And also to Irtm and kokiri, good thing happening itt

First house or no? I'm assuming no since you've got an 8 year old.

I got a new house too

bought it a while ago, but all the checks and the lawyer stuff takes longer in the UK

Hoping to be moved in by the end of Feb, but might not be...

Congrats Xander! I recall you talking about it at one point, but I didn't remember you settling on one.

Precept, irtm and I should do a combined guesstimania.

1). How many bedrooms in the 3 houses combined?
2). What is the combined distance in miles that these 3 guys have to commute?
3). How many toilets in the 3 houses combined?
4). Total number of lofts/basements/garages in the 3 houses combined?
5). Total number of years that these 3 guys have lived in the houses/apartments that they're moving out of?
6). If you add up the 3 house numbers then what number do you get?
7). The 3 guys want to go to their state/country capital city. What is the combined total number of miles they need to drive?
8). What is the combined amount of time that the 3 properties in question were on the market before these 3 guys bought them?
9). What is the combined age of the 3 houses?
10). How many trees are currently in the 3 gardens combined?

What do you guys think?

And the good thing is that we can each play since we've only a slight advantage on the field.

If you moved to Detroit you could buy one with the change on your nightstand.
01-27-2019 , 04:29 PM
Plus you'll rarely need to run your A/C during the winter!

Thanks Canada!

At first I was surprised that you'd say it costs less than a mattress, but then I remembered how much money filthy probably keeps on hand.

Trip Report:

Today I went to Starbucks. I told the girl my name. She wrote four letters on my cup. None of those four letters are in my name.
01-27-2019 , 09:31 PM
Did she write "soah"?
01-27-2019 , 09:33 PM
It was closer to that than my name.
01-27-2019 , 09:56 PM
Leaf? And I didn't know there are people that still order at Starbucks without using the app.
01-28-2019 , 12:20 AM
giving fake names is the best part about ordering from places that call out your name

House #3

Oy. Just, oy.

XB, I'm down for the triple guesstimania. I was going to run a half sheep/half guesstimania but the combined game seems to be way more fun.
