Nothing truer. We always feel like if we go somewhere else or get a new thing or follow a different philosophy or take a new drug or latch onto a new person that it will all turn around for us and we'll no longer suffer. That being a whole, smoothly functioning organism is just one small step away. And no matter how frequently this is proven a destructive illusion, we never stop grasping at it.

Indica, oolong, eucalyptus, maybe cinnamon chai w or w/o cloves. I know that sequence of posts well.

Icewine candies and black Pocky. Galleria is nice, wonder where the rest of it is. Seems like spacer prep some. Was fun.

Montreal in 3 days. Probably load up on nail, hair and VS tubes. Maybe build up a bankroll so I don't always smell like vagina with scant running water to do something about it.

As for Chicago, I liked O'Hare, true to the eighties rep, was busy as hell. Outbound I wound up having to go thru Houston to SMF instead which was awesome because east Texas smell, nawmean?

If I'm ever allowed back in the States, probably that SA/Victoria/Gonzales/Seguin quadrangle. Miss it and I only spent like 3 months total in Gonzales. I mean, it's Texas.

Already posted required elsewhere so hf etc.

"There were so many of them. I was everything else." @whattookyouso... bah.

I remember a term drifting across ~decade back or more: emovampires.

Dunno what to do today, the usual seems mundane.

(I wound up in the Balkans by accident.)

Is it their fault for being such disappointments or is it my fault for expecting they wouldn't be

Depends how important the person is in your life
12-15-2015 , 12:15 PM
Lets just say I can't unfriend them

Culpability gives A more of the gangsta lean though. Being an optimist is wonderful, it maximizes your understanding of people EV. It can be a steep price in some spots though.

I still haven't figured out what happened to the third pink tennis ball btw. I mean, I wrote out both solutions and the third is like wellobvduh nobody needs it, we are it.

Gibson and Denis Leary were right: **** cancer. It's better to be Virek.

Nothing is ever anyone else's fault. You have complete responsibility for everything that happens in you. You might have complete responsibility for everything that happens TO you but that's a bit more cosmic.

That is the best approach, yeah.

Gonna x 2p2 and youtube opiate myself for awhile.

Then two things. A) it's going to hurt when they disappoint you and B) it's going to happen more than once. The longer you know a person and the closer they are to you, the more hurtful the disappointments will be. And because they are close, your expectations will be heightened, so the disappointments will happen more often.

But it also means your capacity for forgiveness must rise at a similar pace as the time/importance equation, because the equation will also apply inversely to you. You will also **** up and disappoint this person at some point (or may already have) and will hope to be forgiven.

We as a people ****ing suck. We are bags of disappointment and selfishness. We are lucky we learned to forgive at some point, or our species would never have survived

How do you plan for things 4+ months in advance? Also, Paris is awesome. Enjoy
12-15-2015 , 12:57 PM
**** yeah Paris get your joie de vivre on, son.
12-15-2015 , 01:03 PM
I don't really plan for things per se, but I bought the plane tickets and all the hotel rooms, so that's pretty close to planning. Also booked a night in Amsterdam and some train tickets. Really I just wanted to save some money by doing it early.

montmartre, jardins de louxembourge, le louvre, le musée d'orsay, le quartier latin should keep you busy for a good portion of your trip.
