So on Thursday I went to get some new contacts. First I went to the vision center inside of a Wal-Mart but they said that they had to order them for me (which I found unusual because my contacts are a super standard variety of Bausch & Lomb but w/e) so I left and went to another place very close to there and they said that they had to order them as well but that they would be there the next day so I agreed and paid for them and picked them up yesterday.

So now I get a call this morning saying that my contacts are in and that I can pick them up at my convenience. Will update after I go.

*Not something that I'm super excited about doing (especially if somehow the same receptionist is there and there are no contacts for me-- but the voice on the phone did sound different I think

but a six month supply is close to $100 so its too much to pass up if people just to want give me that for free

So it was a different receptionist-- the same one who sold me them on Thursday but not the one who was there when I picked them up.

She started looking for them and it was clear that there was no extra set for me-- although there are a bunch of people who had contacts to pick up--

I said "you know what-- my mom must have picked them up yesterday"

I forget exactly how she responded but then I kinda mumbled "yeah I had asked her to pick them up but then didn't talk to her and yeah she must have done that" and I said thanks and she said sorry for calling me again and I left.

I didn't answer the phone when they had called so that wasn't an option. The situation wasn't embarrassing at all as I knew exactly what I was getting myself into and had already decided to say my mom had gotten them yesterday.

It definitely would have been a lot tougher if it had been the same receptionist as was there yesterday, but I did think the voice on the phone was different. I had a plan for that too though.

All it took was being locked out of my house naked and a lap past subway, through mcdonalds parking lot, and back through the ally home.

I was spoiled by my Internet connection at my old place. I was gettin 6 Mbps over there. My xbox live downloads happened pretty quick.

Today, I finally hook up my 360 to the Internet to download a demo. It's slow as hell. So I run a speed test to find out why. I'm only getting 1.2 Mbps here. 5 times slower!

last time someone i know was naked in a mcdonalds parking lot it ended with another friend of mine scrawling death threats in blood and lying under his bed clutching a hatchet and a bowie knife

Got completely wasted last night and passed out drunk naked on my floor again(what is becoming the standard). My roommate walks in, wakes me up and (its about 7 am we had just got back from the strip club) tells me he will give me 2 BI's($100) to go knock on my neighbors door while still naked. We live on the 2nd floor of an apartment complex with an exterior staircase. There is also a balcony on the same side of the apartment as the staircase so he could watch the hilarity from a safe distance. I run outside and up the stairs to knock on the door without much thought. The neighbors I chose happened to be the hot girls on the top floor who got a good laugh out of it. However the problem is our door locks itself when closed so you have to have keys to get back in. My roommate realized this and started laughing and my drunk ass ran up and down the stairs yelling at him to open the damn door. Eventually I realize my fate is to be stuck outside for awhile so I stand on the top of the stairs yelling at people as they walk by(we live at a corner near the busiest ally about 1 block from OSU campus). My other roommate, my girlfriend, and our other friend are a block away getting some Mcdonalds breakfast. They turn the corner too our house and promptly receive a 4 story high goat(see Waiting). I am then told the only way to get back in the house is for me to run a naked lap down highstreet, through Mcdonalds parking lot, and back home. They also include $20 as incentive. I run the lap but take a shortcut that they see(which kept me from having to run down High St.) and am told I have to do it again.

Very risky move considering all the cops around but a very funny story that we will likely talk about for years to come.
