I dunno; it can be a grey area; things like b - 5 for the 5 words starting with b are definitely illegal, for example

The word you clue has to have a connection to the words on your list, so if you clue Belize - 5 that can’t be for a clue for Taj Mahal just because Taj is also capitalized; it has to connect to the meaning of Taj, not the spelling or capitalization or whatever (in this case maybe Taj is just another foreign place or tourist destination like Belize, so with that connection it’s actually legal anyway)

You couldn’t also clue kayak - 5 for mom, nun, civic, noon just because all are palindromes


At end of the day tho, nobody is gonna guess capitalized words on the list bc you capitalized your clue, so doesn’t matter much bc not gonna help anyway

Bed for sure. I get missile, but could also see police. Maybe bed + police is jail tho. Could also make a case for board, but room would be a better clue there. Seems like Nich is just getting the tougher words out of the way, and that tracks with bed/missile.

I think undertaker, spider and pirate make sense. Not sure about the 4th word

I think pirate is a better 4th choice because it's a classic Halloween costume, and pumpkin pie is more about other holidays than Halloween. If you feel really strongly about pie over pirate, and agree with my top 3, then bold those three with pie and pirate as the list. If all 3 are right, we can talk out our next guess

Undertaker is probably my least favorite of the five, the more I think about it. Undertaker is a two-step connection (Halloween —> Death —> Undertaker) whereas all the others are direct. As such, I’m going to keep from bolding Undertaker for now and we can regroup once Plot and Spider flip red.
