Mmm, you beat me to my exact question.

That kind of vague, "I have a list of suspicious people" without saying who or giving specifics is evil territory.

In fact, I will follow that with a Maki_

Meh, he's been known to make posts with 100 words when 10 will do.

It did catch me off guard, that he had such a massive opening post. But once I actually read the content and tone of it, nothing really alarmed me about it. Totally reasonable to me that he would want to elaborate about lynching/no lynching when a bunch of us don't know how we all play.

I don't think it's supposed to be more than null. For some people it's part of a MafiaWolf greeting.

What do you make of other player's reads on the players you mentioned? I think there are multiple opinions out there. Do they factor in at all or do you disagree with the interpretation?

Just that in my experience, claiming villager or town or whatever has always either been a mafia/wolf trying to look innocent/trying to pull some reverse psychology stuff, or a town playing very poorly, and I don't think anyone here is a poor player.

It seems like long posts/writing are underrated these days, pretty universally is the impression I'm getting. That's sad.

I think the different reads come from completely different game environments and cultures. I can really only comment based on my own experience.

It varies a lot because we have a trainee host section, but generally themed round where roles can get pretty complex and/or just long.

This is damn cool. I got goosebumps reading the bios.

I see one point of confusion right off the bat: TommyDanger and I both have Tom names. Call me "TTT" to make it easy.

My biggest weakness, so I've been told, is that I'm really cocky/stubborn and can focus on one mental branch for too long. If you see me doing this, just give me a /slap and I'll reconsider and jump lower on the tree. I look forward to learning from you guys and leveling up a little.

First-pass observations:
wellnamed, I like your inner thought process posts, kind of breaking the fourth wall here. But uh... maybe make them a little less verbose.

Think dbmurph is right about people being timid with their posts. Loosen up a little, people. It is a game after all.

I loled at yamato yelling at TommyDanger's A-team entrance. Yamato is definitely the most aggressive, but I'm surprised people seem to be backing down against his stern tone. He's just a dude. Don't be afraid of dudes.

BLFG is on my radar. He says yamato is obviously town, he throws out suspicion at STS, backs down when well named disagrees, and then asks well named for his reads. I'm not a fan of following (my tendency to be stubborn), unless he really thinks well named is up to something. In which case I disagree.

I'm gonna make a deposit at the porcelain bank and then I'm going to work. I'll return on my phone in 2 or 3 hours.

I am a bit surprised that people don't seem to know basic scum traits.
I challenge people into reading STS' & WN's posts and tell me who they do think is scum.

Clearly we have so much to learn. I'm glad you're here!

I don't know who's scum yet.

Maybe all Toms are cocksure and stubborn. I can be the same way, Triple T.

And much like another Tom of the Petty variety, I won't back down.

I'm pretty sure BLFG's stubbornness about his reads is villagery.

I will resist the temptation to discuss the theory of universal scum traits. For now. :P

I did not say so. I have no problem with big posts. I have problem with big posts that say nothing, where 99% of the post is filler fluff. I associate that into scum, because they want to look like they are contributing while the best scenario for mafia is where nobody says anything -- nothing can be found out.

Resisting temptation is obviously one of the main scum traits. They have to resist tasty murder in broad daylight on a constant basis. Also, when a person becomes mafia or werewolf their sexual drive is increased tenfold. I wonder about you.

In non-heavily themed games, proving your towniness is paramount because you don't have much else to rely on when finding mafia.

Regardless, this seems consistent with your no lynch thing, which means you're used to using roles as a crutch in lieu of scumhunting. Regardless, I think you should pay more heed to other player's opinions, because we are used to playing in games that are largely vanilla where you have to make sure people know you are town.

I accept your challenge:

Well named thinks Maki and Darthe are suspicious.

STS has a random finger near me and hasn't given any other reads, potentially because he only has 5 posts total right now.

I'm not sure what your point is here.

Mmmmm, so much activity, makes me all tingly inside. Might be the soda too, who knows.

Anyways, being a sole representative means I have no friends here, so let's make some! I'm Kojiru, I like long walks on the beach and lynchings. And I for one welcome our D1 RNG gods....

On a more serious note, I am glad we aren't resorting to RNGness, and instead having a nice time posting....before we try and murder each other.

If you're suspicious of both STS and well named why back down when one of them weakly defends the other? Wouldn't that just bolster your reads?

Heading out now. Leaving this here.

And a good sex drive is a terrible thing to waste. That's obviously the biggest issue here.
