Father bought some apartments/commercial premises back in the 70s-80s. When he died he left those to sister and Sammy, because mother didn't want the hassle of dealing with renting them out. They have been paid out for many years and the value of them has gone up considerably the last 40 years. That means you have to pay tax on the rent you collect unless you reinvest that money. Sammy uses that money to pay for his new house and saves a lot in taxes that way. Sammy has been able to make lots of improvements at low cost because of his connections in the building industry making his new house/apartments go up in value. The plan is to sell the house with profit in a few years and build the perfect house for wife, Sammy and the beautiful genius kids we're gonna have. Sammy is smart like that.


In more important news:

Today is the men's Time Trial and Sammy has the day off from work so he can start drinking early. No Danish medal today unfortunately but that's okay, we can wait till saturday.

Joint decision. She loved the house more than I did. You are literally 20 meters from the water. But it was on the expensive side and unfurnished (so we would need to buy furniture).

And while our intention is to stay in Spain, we still haven't officially got our visas yet, so buying furniture probably isn't the best idea.
