I really don't think this should be a problem, unless you have some ridiculously powerful can of air. But hey, probably doesn't hurt. Or maybe it does...

Whats a good software to do some testing on your system? Just got a new PC and would like to run some tests like for example running things at close to maximum over a couple hours etc. to check temp and how system works at full load over time.

CPU - Prime95

GPU - Furmark

You can run these two programs together to put the maximum amount of stress on your system. You'll probably also want a temperature monitor like HWmonitor. You should also be prepared to send your system back to the manufacturer should it fail the stress test.

OCCT

like Prime95 but with temp monitor built in

Linx if you want to be hardcore and get the super max temp

i'm looking for a completely wireless home theater system.. Ie - all speakers are wireless

i purchased a system that was "wireless" and it turned out to have only wireless back speakers (even those had wires that had to hook up to the wireless receiver)

not sure if they make them but i can't seem to find any

thanks for any help

How do I properly use the NoScript add-on for Firefox? I have it turned on and it's working nicely, but when it prompts me to allow script on pages I almost always do so. It's kind of a nuisance to allow multiple scripts on a page before I can view the content I'm after. How do I know which scripts to block, and is it worth the hassle?

One way to deal with noscript or with disabling cookies, is to disable everything without any prompt, remember the hotkey for whitelisting a page, and just whitelist a page when you need/trust it.

Anybody know of a good spot for 5120 x 3200 resolution wallpaper? I did a little googling, but nothing really hoped out at me (I don't mind paying).

Subtle four 30" brag. You'll probably have to create your own 5120x3200 wallpaper.

No clue how you can use 4 30 inch monitors. I can't even use two productively
09-29-2010 , 05:06 PM
I guess I'm stupid, I only have 2 30's. What res wallpaper do I need?
09-29-2010 , 05:13 PM
5120 x 1600

K-Lite Codec Pack

Or you can use VLC Media Player which has codecs built in.
09-29-2010 , 08:05 PM
I'd avoid codec packs.
09-29-2010 , 08:36 PM
just use VLC

Is there a keyboard shortcut in WinXP to turn on the screensaver instantly?

Also, is there a program that has a keyboard interface that can be operated with the mouse by clicking on the letters?
09-30-2010 , 12:47 AM
Google boss key, I think that's what that shortcut is called.

All Programs | Accessories | Ease of Access | On Screen Keyboard

(pretty sure this is available under XP too)

If it's just the browser, there are addons to add the "boss key".

This

The only codec pack I would ever recommend is CCCP.
