Steven Adams being a problem if they go small tho? The Warriors would salivate if Donovan left Adams in against the death lineup.

no one thinks a team has that championship grit or mentality or chance to do it until they see it happen

if people took a step back and realized woah, okc still has 2 of the top 10 players in the world and have been fighting for this for years and finally have a coach that made adjustments that were good to win a series vs pop, theyd be like hmmm this is going to be a very close matchup

They didn't win a series vs Pop, they won a series vs the Spurs' olds.

OKC's extra like 5 offensive rebounds per game will be negated by their extra turnovers. They didn't have many extra possessions against the Spurs even though they killed the glass thanks to their poor turnover differential.

They won because the Spurs choked.

I was at the game on 2/5. Watching how fast RWB is was really special. Of course curry took over the game in the 4th and made some clutch shots. Every game as pointed out was pretty close. I'm a little shook tbh although ultimately the thunder can't defend the 3 pt line well, so the Warriors will have to shoot really bad to lose.

What makes you think the Thunder can't defend the 3pt line?

They were 8th in the league in 3 point rate against, 9th in 3PT% against. Opponents take less corner 3s (by percentage) against them than league average. Opponents also take less catch and shoot 3s against the Thunder than league average and opponents' efficiency on catch and shoot 3s against the Thunder is worse than league average. They rate above average in 3 point defense in pretty much any meaningful way that I can see.

Good post. From what I've seen the Warriors have done well from three against the thunder though that's a small sample and I haven't checked the stats

LMA supposedly didn't want the 5 during his free agency courtship. Might be a problem going forward if Pop needs to honor that promise.

How confident is thread that steph is really 100%?

He looked great in closeout game, but is the mcl a nagging injury? Even if it isn't, missing that many games and facing a signifigant upgrade in quality of competition could lead to some rough patches.

I doubt he's 100%. I read today that he confessed there hasn't been much improvement the last week. He's been pretty good regardless but at the same time it's kind of concerning.

Non 100% Steph is still >95% of NBA. An MCL, or any other leg/knee injury is going to be on his mind and affect him somehow IMO. Trying not to think of what I went through with my own ACL/LCL tears and applying it to Steph, but it definitely lingers in the mind if slightly.

I think the real question is how it will affect GSW on defense because that's where OKC and RUSS can really put pressure and post/wear Steph's legs down. Didn't really get to see that play out in the closeout game v Portland, or for an extended number of games after returning.
