its funny that on some level they understand that not all championships are worth the same. like bill russell running up titles against plumbers and dockmen obv isnt worth as much as jordan taking on pro athletes. they would never argue it is even close.

you would think they would understand that beating the warriors or spurs is much more of an accomplisment than taking on the blazers or suns of the 90s.

You would think that the alt-Brons would understand that the level of competition has to be orders of magnitude tougher in order for their argument to work. As in, despite the fact that Jordan's career ended the same year Labron's started, the best teams from jordan's era would struggle to beat high school teams of lebron's era.

I feel like this argument does a good job of underrating Jordan's accomplishments. Lebron deservedly gets a ton of credit for beating GOAT level teams, but Jordan leading GOAT level teams to championships is somehow used against him.

Well the guy Victor quoted said LeBron’s teams should’ve been the Warriors - who weren’t an established dynasty pre-KD playing LeBron with Delly as his #2 in 2015 and losing in 2016. So there are certainly people who do blame him for that!

The only years where LeBron had what could be considered a stacked team would be 2011 and 2012 (perhaps 2013 could still be considered) - even then, still not on par with the post-KD Warriors. He’s rightfully given hell for his awful 2011 performance and they won in 12 and 13. Unfortunately they didn’t add KD and their roster was way older. By 2014 Wade was pretty washed up as were most of their role players who were almost all out of the league within 2 years.

Anyone with a brain isn’t blaming LeBron for his Cavs run. 2015 he had Delly as his #2 man. 2016 he won with ALLSTAR Kevin Love averaging 8/7/1 on 46 TS% and a putrid -16 net rating in the Finals. Then the Warriors added a prime MVP to a 73 win squad and the rest is history. So it basically comes down to the 2011 series - for which he is totally justified in getting killed for - overrides the rest of his career.

Yes lebron won with kevin love with bad numbers but he won as well with kyrie with great numbers of 27/4/4...and a FT of .939 ( yes free throw since we all know how bad lebron is in the aspect..).

They won 2 titles and went to 4 Finals in 4 years. Expecting anything more than that is unrealistic.

You said that he didn't meet expectations when he was with the Heat and that is absurd. They went to 4 straight Finals and won 2. The Lakers and Bulls all ran way above expectation established the summer before their 3peat runs. Just because a couple teams run way over expectation that doesn't become the new reasonable expectation. My guess for any kind of reasonable line for titles expected by Heat in next 4 seasons from summer of 2011 would probably have been 1.5-2 max and that's probably even high. LOL at it being 3 or 4. It would've been the same for Bulls and Lakers the summer before their runs began as well. With them neither probably would've even been 1.5. Chances are both would've been 1 or less. No one in July of 90 was saying that the expectation is for the Bulls to win the next three titles. Same for July of 95 with Bulls before second three peat and same with Lakers in July of 99. LOL at expecting three peats.

Norman had a terrible record at the finish of majors (though luck was a huge factor in a couple of them).

Norman never showboated at the end after free-falling. He'd typically lose it on the last few holes.
