MJ has 6 and 2nd place has 3 - so mj has twice as many "best player" rings as anyone else in the modern era, while leading in ppg and efficiency rating.. that's the best goat argument that anyone can make
how did MJ have far better team offenses despite far less offensive help?
obviously, his skillset allows better teamwork and brand of ball than Lebron's, so he didn't need as much supporting talent (if everyone on a team was a worse scorer than Horace grant, the team would win 0 games, whereas Love and Bosh won 40+ as the #1 option)
better brand/teamwork = better team ceilings/better teams = better championship odds, aka better player..
ultimately, team ceiling is a bigger factor affecting championship odds than a good on-off, which all the top ball-dominators have
What's better:
LEBRON.... 9 conference Finals wins... 3 Finals wins
JORDAN'... 6 conference Finals wins... 6 Finals wins
Obviously, 3 more Finals wins > 3 more conference finals wins
I define modern era as post 97 onwards. Kobe goat obv. Tough break for MJ, but thems the eras.
