I guess it's time for my traditional bitching about Bob and the lineup.

If ever there was a game that screamed out for no Rico Clark, it's this game. Clark was better than I expected against England (not saying much, ldo). But against a team that defends deep and in numbers Clark is worse than useless. Torres is by far the superior option, and this would be a perfect time for the world to be introduced to Gringo imo.

I'll even accept Edu tbh, just anyone but Clark please.

As for the strikers, I care about that less. Findley played well so if he gets another run that's fine with me. I also wouldn't mind seeing Dempsey up top with Holden on the flanks (or Beasley but I'd prefer Holden).

One advantage of that, is if we're finding it hard to break them down because they are clogging the middle, we'll be better prepared to serve balls into the box and find success that way.

For my money, Donovan and Holden are our two best crossers/servers of the ball, and Jozy and Dempsey (with due respect to Gooch, Boca, and Goodson) are our two best offensive players in the air.

If we can't break them down (although Torres would help big time here) up the middle, I don't mind going down the flanks provided we have both good options out there and good targets in the middle.

The FIFA site that tracks players movement found that Findley had the 5th or 6th highest peak speed in the tournament. Lets hope that our through balls don't skip as much tomorrow.

this guy is supposedly the fastest but hes still a terrible footballer (and he plays for my team, so its not like im biased or anything).

I feel like I'm in the twilight zone. I wrote up a post about the lineup and tried to post it and couldn't because 2p2 told me no for some reason. So I went and posted essentially the same thing and it went through.

Then I come back and check the thread like 20 minutes later and my original post is back somehow but listed as if mmbtone posted it? I'm so confused.

he needs to go back to the MLS to try to refind his form IMO. He left too early, played for DC too early, etc. Like you noted, he's 21 and a move back to the MLS wouldn't be a bad idea for him. If he puts it back together, in 3 years he'll be 24 and there would be teams in for him ahead of teh world cup in brazil

except that even if hull buy Jozy, he won't be playing in the EPL. And no prem team is buying a striker that scored only 1 league goal for hull for over 1m GBP
