The FIFA site that tracks players movement found that Findley had the 5th or 6th highest peak speed in the tournament. Lets hope that our through balls don't skip as much tomorrow.

According to that site 5 of the top 11 fastest players are all Greek, something tells me there's some calibration errors there.

When you don't ever have to worry about playing the ball aside from to hoof it, you can run pretty fast IMO.

edit: also, possible they played on a "faster" field

pretty close to betfair odds, they have US 1-0 as first, 0-0 second, 1-1 third, 1-0 Slovenia fourth and 2-0 US fifth.

If Germany wins today i´ll root for the US to win today and their group as I want Germany - England in the elimination round more than anything else

altidore missed a high % scoring opp in the 2nd, and headed a ball just wide in the first off a free kick. and yea england botched a few too, but it wasn't that one sided.

2:0 would suit me just fine, tbh. I mean, scoring the first goal is always critical, but one in the first 20 minutes today would be absolutely enormous.

The later it stays 1-1, the more comfortable and confident Slovenia will be. Also, as the USA gets a little antsier about our inability to score, we may leave ourselves open to a disastrous counter.

If we score early though, that puts Slovenia out of their comfort zone and in bad shape. As they're forced to commit numbers we can grab a second and end it (to say nothing of how precious a multi-goal victory is to end it). Dos a cero incoming I hope.

Alexi Failas just commented that he thinks it would be a big mistake to replace clark in the midfield.

This. IT could backfire, I understand that. Torres could have a bad match, that's always possible. But for once in Bob's life he decides to gamble a little bit instead of going with the most conservative route humanly possible...and that's awesome and exciting. Gogogogogogogogo.
