I agree with you completely though.
WR and OL matter a bunch, so does safety in today's league. RB doesn't matter that much at all if you have a great OL.

Someone should do a Butterfly Effect movie showing how the Broncos win if Namath's first coin toss counted.

Getting steals at RB is the key and then recycling them instead of paying them.

i know this seems like an absurd notion and would be a PR disaster but are the seahawks better off trading wilson after next year to keep their defense intact than losing any major piece to ensure they have enough cap space to keep him?

Hawks just won the Superbowl with a bunch of 6th and 7th round draft picks and some UDFAs. Confident they can reload without a massive cap driven freefall.

This....taking advantage of their early shelf life and then not paying them their next big contract is the optimal play IMO........UNLESS you want to flame out. Giving lots of money to AP, CJ1ypc and the likes is not optimal. Beef moe big but defense was ****ing great. Really enjoyed watching that unit. Didn't think much of rustle and his one year even watching him from the BIG myself but dude is legit. There is a reason Wisco was immediately good and went to a Rose Bowl. Smart dude here to stay.

I thought it would be a blowout (picked SEA 31 DEN 17), but def gave Den too much credit, which is hard considering I thought they were straight fraudulent.

Any thoughts? Limiting it to my lifetime I'm thinking...

1. 91 Skins
2. 85 Bears
3. 96 Packers
4. 89 49ers
5. 94 49ers
6t. 13 Sea/98 Broncos
Limiting it to my lifetime though I don't remember the '72 Dolphins I'd go

1. '07 Patriots Oops
1. '78 Steelers
2. '72 Dolphins
3. '91 Skins
4. '89 49ers
5. '94 49ers
6. '84 49ers
7. '76 Raiders
8. '85 Bears***
9. '96 Packers
10. '86 Giants

'13 Seattle somewhere in the next few teams

***'85 Bears are a special case in that they got super lucky not to have to face Miami in the Super Bowl. 12-4 Miami was by no means a better team than the Bears but their offense and Marino were kryptonite and they were never beating the Dolphins with their 46 defense that Buddy Ryan was probably too stubborn to ever switch out of against Marino. Stupid Patriots won their first game against Miami in the Orange Bowl since 1966 to win the AFC championship game. Everyone else on the list didn't care who they played; they were gonna crush anyone they faced.

eh. brady's the exception and not the rule. there's no reason to go through the physical decimation of football for less than you're worth if you have a say in the matter
