I'll watch a bit of the BDO as usual, if only when there's **** all else on tv. Maybe catch a bit of Jan Dekker's walk-on then switch it off.

I think it would be good for Darts if PDC did manage to takeover BDO and run the whole thing from top to bottom but I don't know enough about it. Perhaps the grassroots scene would then be ****ed?

Played some darts yesterday, first time in a while. Was somewhat drunk though, so my buddy ended up beating me.

Any of you play in a darts league?

The two young Dutch kids(Kist v Decker) had a decent match to be fair and they both averaged higher than the PDC final Lewis v Hamilton albeit over a shorter format

Hamilton is not exciting to watch, thats what the PL is all about. I'd take the likes of Painter and the Dutch guys over him all day. Pity he made that run this year, he had to be included in the final 8.

Why is he not exciting to watch? He can at least compete with the other contestants, Painter is likely to get slaughtered.

I agree that Van Gerwen would be a cool addition (fast player, fellow dutchman) but adding him is insulting to at least 10 other players. They tried the same with Klaasen a couple of years ago and iirc he didn't do well.

By the way i think Nicholson has the dumbest gimmick ever. And he simply is not good enough.

They should just take the highest ranked players while making sure they have a dutchman, an englishman, and an australian in there. And of course no justin pipe or petri korte no matter what ranking they have.

He's just so dull to watch. It's like he's a robot, he's slowish compared to the other guys and just too mechanical for my liking, if that makes sense. Im a hater of his anyway so that is another reason

+1 on Justin Pipe. Obviously Wes was in the wrong with him in their match but either way, I dont really want to watch 14 legs of Pipe looking half-constipated while lining up D20 or whatever.

Agree with Nicholson. Good player, but the gimmick just isnt going to fly and you dont really have the rights to crack the ****s when you are "the hated one" and happen to play bad, because when the villian is losing is great theatre is obviously going to laugh at you...

Also, cant wait for the World Cup of Darts in Febuary... hopefully Nicholson can redeem himself in my eyes...
