It wasn't a great season for sure, but it certainly wasn't the disaster that many non-Arsenal fans wish it were. I guess when your foreign coach stocks his side with foreign players for a fraction of the cost paid by his counterparts, resentment runs a little high.

Arsenal are still a very young team. If they don't won anything meaningful over the next 2 or 3 years than critics will be fair in their assessments.
Man United are younger. Arsenal had a 5 point lead 6 weeks ago. Save face if you need to, but those are the facts.

I am sick and tired of hearing about the "young" Arsenal. Average age of Arsenal players who started at Anfield: 25. Average age of Liverpool's lineup: 26. It is just another excuse for Wenger to hide behind, ie "we are just little children", "the big men kicked us", waah waah waah, SHUT THE **** UP AND TAKE IT LIKE A MAN YOU BIG NANCY!

we are saving face, but tbh we actually have a legit argument for once. this was meant to be the spuds' season, and we were only going to get fifth. We have improved a lot this season, and we have fked up in recent weeks, but its still been a decent season.

Yea its a legit argument, but it shouldn't make blowing the title feel any better.

Yes, it was a better season than was expected, but that doesn't change the fact you had one hand on the trophy.

Meaningless game, the only important thing about today was Villa 5 Brum 1.

Do you actually think before posting things or do you just regurgitate what other people say?

The average age of Arsenal's XI at Anfield was 24.63
The average age of Liverpool's XI at Anfield was 26.72

SO either you repeated what someone else said, or choose to round up and round down to suit your argument.

Further, the youngest players in that starting XI for Arsenal are aged 20, 21, 22, and 23. Two of whom aren't regular starters.

The youngest players on Liverpool's starting XI are 23, 23, 24, and 25, with three being starters.

We had three guys in our starting XI over 26, Liverpool had seven.

Thanks for stating the obvious, and aren't you a cocky lot after winning a reserve team trophy.

any team that starts van der sar, giggs and scholes can't possibly be younger than arsenal. granting, i'm not using mathematics or anything here, but the three of them add up to at least 100.

edit: 104.

TSC,

You can't complain about how chippy these threads have gotten when you come and start in with the tone of your last three posts man. Work with me please.

Thanks

I thought there was a certain amount of trolling allowed per the FAQ? Secondly, there is no "tone" in my third post at all.

You are such a baby. All you do is complain about everyone making jokes at your club, then you attack the team I support after I make a perfectly valid point. Grow up.

Yea but you'll be the first to complain and whine like a 10 year old the first time someone says something bad about Arsenal. Make fun of any club you want, but at least have the stomach to take it.
