Triplette laughs as it happens. These guys (players and refs) know each other by first name since they work together in the off season as well as the season. I think it was intended as a joke and taken that way.

Yes, if there's something that I've learned while watching the NFL, it's that people disproportionately give Tony Romo a pass on things that they wouldn't give a pass to others on.

Wrt Flynn, he looked absolutely abysmal in preseason and was pretty clearly worse than Pryor and McGloin. His arm looked completely dead and is probably weaker than Peyton's.

Nmamdi Asomugha expected to be released by the 49ers this week.

Not a surprise but wow it looks like he went from best cornerback in the league (or top 2 or 3) to out of the league very quickly.
