Is it not unreasonable to think that within 10-15 years, that might become like 24 black/mixed and 8 white? Just seems to make sense. And all these guys will most likely be devastating runners too.
I'm cancelling my RedZone if this happens

One, teams were looking for way too much for these guys. Both Nicks and Britt shouldn't have gone for all that much due to Nicks not being that great, being on the last year of his contact and his injury history. Britt has a ton of baggage and injury issues. Gordon obviously has the drug issue but he has a great contract and is very talented.

Two, it's hard to integrate guys this late in the season--this is why you don't see many trades in the mid-season of the NFL. While I would imagine most teams are pretty desperate for a good WR, could these guys really contribute asap?

Three, draft picks are almost overly valued now but that's due to the cap on rookie's salaries and how great they are.

I would have loved to see the 9ers get another WR. With that being said, we are winning without them now and we have 2 pretty talented WRs coming back from injury soon. With that being said, who knows if those 2 guys can contribute this year for the 9ers and if they can't--it's going to be a tough road through a tough NFC that could go through Seattle.
i suspect the bolded is the biggest reason. even with the niners having a bye week, expecting gordon/britt/nicks to immediately get acclimated to the playbook and developing instantaneous chemistry with kaepernick (or any WR with any new team and new QB for that matter) is a pretty big error on judgement on our parts. especially in the case of nicks who's a free agent after this season anyway, trading for him may take too long into the season to pay off to be worth the price if it even pays off at all

Hey now, the Browns just signed Armanti Edwards after putting Travis Benjamin on IR, so that could change real soon!

The reason players cover their injuries up, is because the contracts aren't guaranteed.
Never thought about this, but yea. I thought it was just the culture of not wanting to appear weak/lose playing time.

That All-22 picture of the deep ball to Durham on the Lions' last drive - WTF is the safety doing (circled in blue). Durham is literally the only player on his half, heck even his 2/3rds of the field. And yet he's looking somewhere else and covering no one. Yikes.

I also fault Kiffin going into that damn trail technique at that point in the game. Ok...if you are going to do it jam at the line of scrimmage, especially against Calvin. At least you slow down the WR some, maybe a DL stunt can get home. But he is scared of jamming and the WR getting to the outside for a reception and getting out of bounds.

Coaching scared.

So I've been watching Alterraun Verner today to do a youtube on him. Watching all of his pass coverage snaps. How come this guy isn't getting talked about more? I dare say he looks more impressive than Patrick Peterson.

15.4 QB rating when targeted is best among all cornerbacks

currently is tied for the league lead with eight passes defensed

I'd say linebacker. Seems like the most difficult parlay of size, strength and speed.
