i figured first two rounds would be good, tons of talent in these things and it wouldn't be too hectic

really didn't have a specific draft in mind...figured we could go from 05-08 or something like that..if we tried to get one done every 2 weeks, would give the forum more to talk about

In no particular order, you have Eli, Big Ben, Rivers, Larry Fitz, and Jared Allen all with a legit case to go #1.
Rivers, Eli, Allen, Fitz, Ben

It would historic no doubt. But Otis Anderson's season is damn near GOAT and its already been done. Yeah if Cam finishes the season with those numbers, we will talk about it. But, like I said, as of right now, Otis' seasons is the beginning and end of rookie seasons.

Its not my fault ya'll are pussies and like your QBs the way you like your ice cream. Soft. Sorry I'm a man and lack a labia. Maybe the next generation of football fan will be born with balls.

Dude, you cited Ottis Anderson's rookie year based on YFS and I showed you three guys who had more, including Mr. Still Got The Record For Rushing Yards in a Season. Why Anderson over Eric D., Edge, or Billy Sims?

Yup, Dickerson has the GOAT rookie season for a running back easily. Sanders prob 2nd.

Think Walter Football had it right (rarely happens I know) going Rivers, Big Rape, Fitz then Eli. Switch the last two if you want I guess. Rivers is having is worst season and Eli's on pace for his best I know, but it's not like the rest of their careers don't count.

If we're talking right now, there is no way I'm taking Rivers or Rape over Eli.

It's a 2004 re-draft. You have to account for the first 7 years of their careers.

Fair enough. In that case Le Gonso almost nailed it. I think I'd put JA > Fitz/Eli... but close.

WHERE U AT NATH??

I called roger saffold (rams OT) a bust and you claimed he was not.

some other dude (colts fan) also mocked me for the same assertion.

Quote:
James Carpenter(notes) isn't protecting Seattle Seahawks quarterbacks as much as he should, and he makes the list of worst offensive linemen this year. That list breaks down which players are giving up the most sacks and it's not a list that any team wants to find a player on.

Carpenter has given up six sacks this year, ranking him fourth on the list. On that same list Levi Brown (Arizona Cardinals) and Roger Saffold (St. Louis Rams) each have 8.5 sacks, so at least Carpenter isn't even the worst in the NFC West.

He's having a bad year but he's been the starting left tackle since day one

Hardly a "bust" for a second round pick

#33 overall, fyi, and if most sacks allowed of any OT does not an OT bust make, what does?

Looks like we found why he has been starting since day one, hmmm?

And how did the Yahoo article manage to misspell his name? It's Rodger.

Considering that the year before the Rams used the #2 pick OVERALL on an offensive tackle, and Saffold beat him for the LT job, no, we haven't.

lol this will be his third straight 4k yard season

the three qbs are the auto top three picks, the order is up for debate but that is the right answer.

4k yards isn't that big a deal anymore. It's more a measure of how healthy a QB is and how many balls they throw. Avg 250 yards/game avg over a 16-game season and you have 4,000 yards. If he gets a prize for anything it's avoiding injury.

Romo's a 4k QB when he goes 16 games too (or at least on that pace before injury in short years). Not a great measure of anything.

250 yards over 16 games isn't a bus driver, which is my point.

LOL ROMO too

This isn't accurate. Smith lost the LT job during his rookie year, before Saffold showed up. It's also worth noting that Smith missed a chunk of his rookie season b/c of a concussion.

LOL at Saffold being a bust, he's no superstar but he's been a fine player for #33. The whole body of his work so far is at least equal to Bulaga's.

Smith was competing to win the LT job back during the 2010 training camp, so it is correct that Saffold beat him out among others, even if he wasn't the starting LT at the end of the prior season.
