That was kind of sarcastic, but yes, I have them at #4 right now. That tier from 2-12 is very tight, though. Some good team tends to disappoint every week, making it difficult to seperate them.

49ers 7-1
Giants 6-2
Steelers 6-3
Patriots 5-3
Saints 6-3

Everyone who has a high PD has at least one ridiculous blowout win on their schedule

Giants lost to Washington and Seattle, and only beat Miami by 3 and Arizona by 4

The NE win is encouraging but those other results do not bode well for the second half of the season, when the schedule gets much tougher

Ryan Clady is good, don't get me wrong. But the whole ZOMG HE DIDN'T GIVE UP A SACK ALL YEAR GOAT **** was Cutler. From what I recall, Clady gave up plenty of pressures, just ran hotter than the ****ing sun to have not given up a sack.

This method is so flawed its almost worthless + its 4-3 in favor of CHI when done correctly(WR+TE together and secondary together to CHI).

Reid isn't bad, don't get me wrong. My reasoning is very weak, for sure. They aren't stuck with John Fox or Norv Turner. It's like Marvin Lewis, both Reid and Lewis are good coaches. The Bengals couldn't possibly upgrade - if Reid were coaching Cincy they would be foolish to fire him like ever.
lol Jim Schwartz.

Reids W/L since 2000:

11-5
11-5
12-4
12-4
13-3
6-10
10-6
8-8
9-6-1
11-5
10-6
3-5

Do you realize how absurd that consistency is? That 6-10 includes half a season of Mike McMahon. The only coaches in the current pool with better qualifications are Belichick and Cowher.

Is Shanny somewhat vindicated in running Albert out of Washington now? I mean, I thought shanny was an idiot for not correctly utilizing him, but if he really is just a lazy ****ing worthless bastard i guess he made the right decision

The QB rushing dyar seems weird. Tebow's 12 for 118 is just 16 yards above replacement? am I misunderstanding the stat?

I'm confused too. I know it has to do with stuff like success rate and consistency, but then they say he had 5 10-yard+ runs and 4 for first downs, so it seems like it should be higher.

It's a good move in the long run imo, lol at Reid being fired. He'll have a legit SB contender next year depending on Vick's health.

His ingame stuff is tilting me to no end but he seems ultra-elite in all other areas and those are extremly important.

I'll join the coaching speculation:

The first year if the new HC failed to get a rang it'd probably be *shrug* 'ok' from the FO. After that, I'm sure there'd be more and more pressure from there on out. Which is obv the standard for all HC'ing positions.

This team is very similar to last year personnel wise, can Singletary be that inept?
I think people make too many blanket statements like this. "Pats will never win with a D like that", "Ravens can't win unless Flacco steps up", etc. The playoffs are 3 or 4 games, and imo theres no magical formula to winning. You just go out and play the games, and if they experience positive variance then a team like SF could definitely win 3 in a row to win the SB.

They are also pretty close to being 8-0.

Week 2 at Denver: Down 2 points, 1st and 10 on Denver 48, 1:03 to go

Week 3 vs SF: Up 6-3(huge defensive struggle ldo) with 4:00 left to go

I think the mentality is that teams can win a lot of regular season games when they have a huge positive that is enough to carry some major weaknesses. In the playoffs you're only playing other elite teams so those major weaknesses become worse and your huge positives need to be better which is harder. That's why most of the superbowl teams are well rounded and near the top in offense and defense that year.

Obviously there are aberrations (rams/ravens) but for the most part being balanced is a requirement.

Detroit sounds like a great spot for Al. When you got a young hungry guy like Suh over there the first thing you want is to place a 340 pound cancerous tumor next to him.

This. I'm pretty sure Al would be the 4th DT so it makes no sense. Whenever Al's name comes up people got assume Detroit because of Schwartz, even though the signing would literally make no sense
