Chiefs emerging as earl thomas suitor according to mort and schefter. I don’t think he will be worth the price as a rental our defense is too far gone. Maybe it berry actually comes back it would be worth a shot if we have a chance this year but I’m kind of assuming berry is not gonna be back and healthy this season ever. 2nd round pick is a lot to give up for one year on a hopeless defense esp after this years draft looks like an utter disaster. Wouldn’t surprise me if everyone they drafted is out of the league in three years

Trading for Thomas and not extending him would be surprising to me.

What would the total be for a Rams-Chiefs Superb Owl? 58.5? More?

Jerry Hughes had 15 pressures against the Vikings today, per NFL Next Gen Stats. That's the highest number of pressures in a game of any player in the last three seasons. Joey Bosa had the next most with 13 in Week 10 in 2017 against the Jaguars.

Vikings might as well lose now when they start 5-0 or better they miss the playoffs.

Trubes is so terrible, it's great to watch because the rest of the roster is alarmingly good.

It's absolutely unreal he sees 6 on the line of scrimmage and doesn't even think about his dumpoff receiver in case they blitz. They did, Trubisky then doubles down on stupidity and decided to run backwards 20 yards.

FREE CHASE DANIEL. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. JAY CUTLER ANYTHING.

Despite this, Bears first in NFC North and could win it because it's AIDS. Vikings LOL, Packers is literally a hobbling QB and some parts, and the Lions well, they got that one game, that's nice.

Still, who was the worst QB this week, Bradford, Rosen (who was worse than Badford in that end game), Trubes, COUSINS (who also was just dreadful, the vikes thought he was the guy to take them over the top, fans are thinking now they'll miss the playoffs).

why has nobody signed Dez btw?
i know he's prob a pita, but he's a pretty good WR
and the more i watch Dak the more i think Dez might be quite good on a team with a QB that can actually throw the ball

is he unwilling to sign a 1-year prove-it deal?
are we just waiting for a good team to lose a top WR?
or is it just that no one wants to deal with him?

not really paying attention, are there any other similar players currently unsigned?

Vikings will get it together. Packers are a toss up, but 8-8 wouldn't surprise me

Dez's best offer was Baltimore but he turned that down because Balt wanted 3 years (for them, one for him obv) and Dez just wanted one, just couldn't agree to terms with any team, the last closest one was the Browns, and then everyone started preseason games and just decided to roll with what they have. Now that it's the NFL season only a real, real desperate team might kick the tires there, especially if it's an offense he doesn't know. Takes time for QB/WR's to get in sync and all that. He might be done, usually a year out of the league and teams don't call you again.

It's a bit hilarious Dal is currently a tire fire on offense without him. Other factors are more responsible for that* but it's still a part of it, Dez wasn't a WR1 last season but they don't have much there atm.

*(like injuries and whatever the hell infected zeke and tyron smith with AIDS against seattle)

I thought Patricia would be our guy.

Patricia on going for the field goal on 4th-and-inches on the first drive: "In that point of the game being so early, you need points. You need to make sure you maximize every single drive. So, at that point, if it's inches or one or two, it doesn't really matter. You just have to get the points and hope that you're in a position to play good defense."

Leveon Bell on trade block

Interesting proposition to be honest, not the least of which is that any team trading can’t sign him to an extension til after the season so...would he play for the club that signed him?

I’m sure a team can do a handshake type deal with the agent but yikes if he suffered a serious injury

Not many teams have the cap space to accomodate his tag payments this year and some that do eg Jags and Boys can be crossed off.

Remaining list is Browns (who have a ton of RBs already) Colts, Texans 49ers Titans Jets

49ers and Titans signed RBs in FA already this offseason

I'll give you 20-1 odds the packers do not end up 8-8.

The Packers are not a playoff team. Defense still sucks and Rodgers can't do his run around for 10 seconds thing which is basically the whole offense.

If they could just stop committing so much pass interference and breaking that stupid new rule the defense would be way better

Pretty bad when you have the worst roster and a bad cap spot. Only other team with as dismissal a future outlook (is) in Miami.
Not only does their future look pretty bright at this point, but their present doesn't look too bad either.

I get that people thought Miami might not be a good team this year (and they still might end up being their usual mediocre 8-8, +/- 1), but I don't get why so many thought they were the worst team in the league.

They’ve had a very favorable schedule. They’re not as bad as the Texans or cards, but I’m not sure how good they really are right now. Why is there future bright? I don’t see any players to be overly excited about at this point.

Another thing of note, Vikings vs rams this Thursday, Vikings on the road. They could quickly be 1-2-1 and a few games behind the Bears. Pretty incredible for a team that’s most thought would be an nfc contender. I’m really not sure who’s good in the nfc right now other than the rams.
