Peterson to Stanford would be pretty awesome for next season.

Then again he still has 1 more year with Kellen Moore ..... is Boise going to be pre-season top 5 again next year?

Looks like Todd Graham to Pitt. That sucks. Now, our OC and best recruiter, Garrick McGee, is probably going to be the next Tulsa coach.

If/when Les Miles goes to Michigan who does LSU go after? I've read Pelini in most places but seen some talk of Jimbo Fisher too which I see as highly unlikely. lol at Nebraska seems likely.

I've read the same, but I'd expect Pelini to be the one they could actually get. Having said that, LSU has the talent to win the NC next year so that could play a big role in who they can get.

I think Les Miles going to Michigan would be very reminiscent of Roy Williams going to UNC. He passes on the job, they hire Doherty and he promptly runs it into the ground, Williams feels terrible and goes back to his alma mater. Pretty much the same story here if Miles takes it.

I think any school's fans will always have a love/hate relationship with Les. He's not the most popular guy in the world here, but he won himself a lot of fans by turning down Michigan before, and by having a very good year this season despite spotty QB play.

LSU's last two hires (Saban/Miles) were both HC's at solid power conference programs and I think it'd be good to follow that pattern. I'd like to see them go after Mullen, but I have no idea if that's likely or not.

Patterson from TCU would be a sick hire for LSU

Patterson with that returning talent on defense would be incredible next year.

Malzahn to LSU would be beyond sick.

Then again, Malzahn to ANY job would beyond sick.

Don't see him taking it but Tulsa is going to offer him asap.

Been banging the Malzahn-to-anywhere drum since he got shafted at Arkansas.

Dude is too legit.

Wonder if Michigan could afford to make Miles highest-paid coach in NCAA + Malzahn highest-paid OC/clock operator?

Was just chatting with an LSU buddy and the internet scoop down there is that LSU has no interest in Pelini. Patterson would be choice #1 but they don't feel that he is an option. From there it would be Jack Del Rio or Art Briles as the next two in line. Internet scoop so take it fwiw.

i love Les Miles and his fearless attitude towards coaching. Just learn the clock management and hes set. And the guy always recruits top notch which I think is worth overlooking some clock management in exchange for.

Watching the NCG i thought Chip Kelley went to the Les Miles school of coaching w/ the fake FG 2 pt conversion and fake punt.

This is my dream scenario. Malzahn + the talent we already recruit at WR and on defense (especially since LSU has no real in-state competition) would be a huge sell for recruiting a real QB talent nationally, and I think that could be a NC combination.

I've also heard talk about Patterson, and that would be sweet, but I think Malzahn could bring us another title, as long as he's not completely inept at running a program.

god...if LSU actually gets a coach down there to utilize the (already) sick talent to go with their strong recruiting base...*shudder*. LSU is already a pretty solid team year in and year out, but w/ a top coach they will be scary.
