disgusting the Boeheim was running a dirty program for all these years. If you're gonna give improper benefits to players though wouldn't Carmelo have been the one you target? Lucky for all involved that that title is supposedly clean.

Elaborate. I agree but I'm curious about your reasoning.

I enjoy watching Smart's teams play but it seems to me that his approach would be a terrible fit for IU.

I'm sure the NCAA will be punishing UNC's much more egregious, lengthy, and systemic offenses on a commensurate level with the Syracuse sanctions

Now brb, Lucy's finally going to let me kick that football

F***ing Fab Melo. Didn't even play in the tournament. Lesson is to never self report anything.

Ah okay my reasons are his gimmick wouldn't translate to a bigger program but fits VCU perfectly as much as I despise them. But yes his wife is crazy about Richmond which is even more confusing. I live here, it's nothing special at all.

What's the real difference between rick pitinos 'gimmick' and shaka smarts 'gimmick'?

I mean have you seen how bad college basketball players are at dribbling and passing? Seems obvious to press teams all game and collect the free turnovers

side effect of the Cuse thing: Boeheim gets ~100 wins docked off his official record and now has very little chance to catch coach K. Before this he was only 40ish wins behind K and could have caught him if he just lasted 2 seasons or so more than K did. Now it's K all the way.

They'll restore them Penn State football style at some point, especially if Boeheim does actually outlast Coach K

Ya IU would have to throw just an insane amount of
Money at Stevens and even then I don't know if he leaves the NBA. He's starting to turn the celtics around and they believe in him.
I also don't think brad would do it to butler fans.

I have no doubt Indiana will offer him an insane amount of money. He is an absolutely perfect fit in every way possible. But hard to see him leaving the Celtics at the moment.

IU basketball is pretty huge in the state of Indiana. Pretty huge fan base, big following, is a pretty big deal to a lot of people. I'm guessing its not as big as probably the south with their college football but I'd imagine its close.

Stevens growing up in the state as an IU fan has to have some pull even if its just a little.
