+5000 TZ Points

I also jumped on +2100 Mavs to title before game 7. Had a Hunch.

They are now +700 on FanDuel.

Take your win imo ... and wait for the price to drift again after the games in GS if you want to get back in.

Tough to be an AZ sports fan once again. We can never have nice things and the heartbreak continues. Next up the AZ Cardinals without Hop for first 6 games and second toughest schedule in NFL. Should go GREAT

TZ is amazing, lol. This year helped Chris Paul’s legacy - he’s literally 37 years old. Try looking up how other all time greats fared at 37. Had an unreal start to the playoffs and then ran out of gas. Somehow Devin Booker who is in his prime was just as bad the last two games and thinks he’s in the elite class of the NBA when really he’s CJ McCollum with a Kardashian gets no slander? Shameful.

Yep. No offense to the Rattlers but the ‘98 Dbacks are all we are ever going to get.

Legacy?

Legacy's are all about WINNING. Winners win. Simple as that. CP3 was, is, and ever will be an EPIC choker.

CP couldn't do anything without drop covg slow big to pick on

Mavs were giving Booker box and 1 treatment once they realized he is all they had

CP destroys the low hanging fruit of the reg season so I don't see Phx fading too much next year but with LAC/Denver back in fold I do kinda see them coming back to the pack. Memph/Dal on the come up as well.

I don't think this hurts his legacy and I hate just reducing bball to a few simple narratives but him and the Suns def ran pure last year and rd 1 this year with the Gasol/Drummond-Jokic-Zubac-Lopez-Valancuinas run for him to feast on. He looked like he did his last year w/ the Rockets w/o a big to pick on.

I was early on this upcoming dichotomy so I did the super sharp thing and bet Booker to win finals MVP when him/CP odds similar. Umm, is that ticket worth anything still? Anyone wanna buy it?

CP had a way worse series than Book, he was basically useless after gm 2 as far as creating offense. I think it is fair to wonder if he was hurt, although he probably just got owned.

But I agree Book is the real 1 that takes the hit, as CP fades how good is a team of him/Ayton/Bridges really? Might just be another 6 seed in the west every year.

We may look back at these last 2 years as Phoenix window

To be clear, I’m only saying this season literally couldn’t hurt CP’s legacy or your ranking of him whether you had him as the 20th best or 100th best player OAT entering the season. You don’t lose out by showing up at age 37 and once again being comfortably a top 10-15 player in the league and the best player on a 64 win team. That makes zero sense, at worst it simply doesn’t add to it.

The hatred of CP doesn’t make sense to me. I guess I get it from the perspective that his on court antics are really annoying. But this is a guy who was literally sent out to pasture in OKC at age 34 or whatever with like 4 picks to get Westbrook. He’d been written off by most casuals as basically a 0, had an awful hamstring injury, and OKC was supposed to be terrible and people thought he’d mail it in. Guy goes on a special diet, gets in hyper elite shape and somehow makes OKC good, then gets them a zillion assets for him going to PHX where he instantly turns a lotto team into title contenders. He’s an ******* on the court but the guy loves to hoop and his effectiveness at his age/stage in his career is borderline unprecedented (prob only a couple guys in history) for anyone let alone a 6’ point guard.

I haven’t seen anyone claim Devin Booker as the greatest SG of all-time.

The hate comes from the fact of plenty of fans claiming him as the best PG of all-time using maths when the dude has only made one finals in 17 seasons and ****ing lost.

And this is on the heels of a second round exit against a one superstar team, who happens to play PG, as a team with the best record ITL by 8 games.

He probably was hurt to some degree but that comes with the territory of having a 37 yo short injury prone PG as your best player. Booker likely wasn’t 100% either. But CP3 also saved the Suns ass in round 1 after Booker got hurt and probably saved the season with one of the best performances of all time in Game 6 while Booker did nothing on one leg.

I wouldn’t want Ayton over Maxi Kleber in the playoffs let alone on a max contract. Suns should let him walk and let some other team pay him but prob won’t. I know he’s young but think he’s pretty limited in terms of upside, probably just got made by CP and caps out at a DAJ value player.

Also think Monty did a piss poor job of adjusting after Game 2 and should be questioned a bit. That said they’re still quite a good team and if they run it back and get a few breaks I think they can contend again next year.

I find it hard to believe many are ranking Chris Paul over Magic/Steph all-time. Regardless, he is pretty much indisputably a top 5 PG and top 40 player of all time even if you totally hate him and take the most outlier down view on him. And even if you have that take literally everyone else around that all time ranking was either out of the NBA or totally washed up at his age. So not sure how dunking on a guy for not retiring makes sense, but to each their own I guess.

At a point, Rasheed Wallace would say, the ball don’t lie. Now he’s 0-7.

I believe the metrics say Chris is better than both Magic and Steph. I believe he’s way, way behind both of those dudes but there are others who don’t.

I think the thing that bothers me the most about Chris is composure.

He seemed to lose it quite often on the court, especially in some of the biggest moments. Dude is full of mental leaks.
