i don't think there's any racial motivation behind using the term posse there, but i do think it was meant to be condescending
11-15-2016 , 06:03 PM
did labron think Phil called him a pussy or something?

seems weirdly defensive that E & Turtle aren't getting any respect...
11-15-2016 , 06:41 PM
Isn't a posse what you rounded up to chase down cowboys who were robbing banks or rustin' cattle?
11-15-2016 , 06:42 PM
Insane clowns, ldo.
11-15-2016 , 07:06 PM
This horse**** story and brons terrible reading comprehension, assuming he took the trouble to put his eyes directly on what he should act outraged about before they put a camera in his face, is the first two talking points on this pregame NBA TV show.

Bron said "I wonder what he says behind closed doors" LMAO

Weird he's defending his lifelong friends? Would be weird if he didn't IMO.

Anyway, hopefully Phil gets fed up with the bad pub, drinks a glass of warm milk and retires in the morning so Staps gets unleashed.

I do agree the comment was not racially motivated but it was meant as unnecessary disrespect towards James and his friends and his reaction is at worst, understandable

ya i mean laturtle started his own tequila company (with labald's money ofc) ... show him some damn respect, rest of the world!

It's also possible living your adult life surrounded with sycophantic yes men around you would warp your world view and amplify any perceived slight into a chance to cry on camera about it.

You really have to be a beta, narcissistic, thin-skinned bitch to take the word posse to feel so slighted and allege racial motivations.

Implying someone is racially prejudiced based on those comments is absolutely deplorable. Completely and genuinely pathetic, but par for the course.

Ofc LeBron didn't address Phil's comments, but rather had one of his cronies do it like a little bitch.

Dan Gilbert is the perfect person to harbor a scumbag and enable him to continue being a pathetic disgrace of a human being.

Yeah I love me some LeBron but I lost a little bit of respect for him with his reaction to Phil's comment.

there is no way Phil Jackson called Tony Kukoc's group of friends, his posse. And it's not like he's talking about a group of people that hang around Lebron to get girls into his sex parties, some of those guys actually occupy positions that might force them to deal with Phil Jackson professionally in the future.
11-15-2016 , 08:45 PM
The Beastie Boys I believe were the first group to use the word posse regularly. But yeah ya know racist.

Yeah no way Kukoc was soft as baby poop either.

Looks like we've got Phil Jackson, ActionJacson and EddyB on one side, and everyone else on the other.

The result has been the 3rd best offense in the NBA despite everyone being young, the bench being terrible, and an offensively-inept rookie PG starting for most of the games.

And if he's being guarded by someone overmatched like D'Angelo Russell or Andre Iguodala you can just bang that drum all night and there's really no way to stop him imo.
def not how it works

this season his assisted% has gone down and unsurprisingly he is shooting less often at the rim (proportionally) and at a worse % so far. could change but that's the expected result of a reduction in assisted% all other things being equal. i think wig is currently 'ok' at doing this stuff, but his .58 ts is bouyed by very unsustainable 3pt shooting and i think his shot distribution is still that of a meh-efficiency player other than a slight uptick in foul drawing

sportsvu data had the gap at something like 15% league-wide for assisted vs unassisted attempts (with lots of variation between teams and players). not to mention shot clock effects of getting the ball later without time to explore a full set
11-15-2016 , 09:31 PM
Fwiw I think he was being facetious.
11-15-2016 , 09:39 PM
Phil Jackson should just retire already.
11-15-2016 , 10:40 PM
Lebron was probably upset because jackson called him out for wanting special treatment

Which he eventually got when the nba suspended draymond green and otherwise rigged the finals

But being offended by the term posse is more than silly, especially considering jackson's reputation with the media
11-15-2016 , 10:47 PM
Slow news day.

I'm kind of in the GOAT is overreacting camp.

Saying posse is racist? Is that all this is?

Draymond Green got suspended because he got a bunch of idiotic techs and flagrants over the course of the season i.e. His stupid foul on Beasley in the rockets series.

Lol at the Finals being "rigged"

Exactly. A big part of winning is mental composure.

A grown man repeatedly shows a fascination in kicking or going towards other men's genitals during games and the NBA is "rigged." Cool story. Wobitches get everything they deserve.
