Not normally a NCAABB fan, but this Nova/Mich game ending is absolutely great largely due to both teams only having one TO and not interrupting game flow constantly. Really wish TOs were cut massively in the NBA.

and as you say that a kid nearly got KILLED getting his shot blocked with 5 seconds left. holy ****

i can't remember ever seeing that-- the guy guarding the ball turns around and blocks a guy at the rim, crazy.
11-26-2014 , 01:13 AM
Yup, that was some man **** right there.

I know I'm a homer and always yell at the refs, but that was some blatant riggage at the end of the Denver game.

Nugs up 7 with 2:05 to go and Gallo hits a crazy Sean Elliot style 3 pointer to put them up 10. Everyone goes nuts and they give up an and-on one the other end. In the ensuing timeout they check to see if Gallo was OOB (it wasn't conclusive).... The refs not only take the 3 away, but they give Gasol his bucket and free throw. The problem is a) you can only review OOB plays in the last two minutes and b) an OOB review is to determine who gains possession and must be deemed a dead ball first. Nevermind the fact that they gave Chicago the freaking points + foul that were generated right after the transition mania that was Denver icing all but icing the game and Gallo mean-mugging for the crowd....

Oh and then they give Dunleavy a foul down 6 on a 3 where he wasn't even ****ing touched with about 35 seconds to play.

The line was 4 points hmmm.

SAC off to a 9-5 start with wins against POR, @LAC, @PHX, SAS, CHI, @NOP

Is this the lineup they've been trotting out every night, because wtf.
Jason Thompson
Omri Casspi
Boogie
Ramon Sessions
Ben Mclemore

Stauskas, CLandry, Derrick Williams and other randoms off the bench. Just wtf is going on

early MVP race looks like this so far

1. BOOGIE
2. Steph
3. Gasol
4. Jimmy Butler III
11-26-2014 , 01:51 AM

11-26-2014 , 02:07 AM
Yeah I guess cousins is just that good, because lol at a team starting Collison, bmac, and Jason Thompson being good.
11-26-2014 , 02:09 AM

It kinda defies logic, and it's not just them hitting good variance to be 8-5. It's more the opposite as they got hosed royally in the Memphis game. We are all just waiting for Sacramento to realize who they are, but if anything they seem to be getting stronger. And it's not just one player going nuts or running way above expectation, it's improvements across the board.

They are near elite offensively, all without shooting a high number or percentage of 3 pointers. It's like the Memphis Grizzlies, except not as good defensively but absolutely unstoppable on offense inside.

Malone is like this year's Hornacek.
11-26-2014 , 02:21 AM
well to be fair their usual lineup includes darren collison and RUDY.
11-26-2014 , 02:23 AM
checked the standings today and let us take a moment to lol OKC

current record of 3-12

to make the playoffs they need to pass 3 of the following

6. Mavs 10-5
7. Kings 9-5
8. Clippers 8-5
9. Suns 9-6
10. Pelicans 7-6

Memphis, Golden State, Portland, Houston and SA should all make barring major injury
11-26-2014 , 02:28 AM
The reason Sac is winning is because they have an ALPHA BIG DOG and everyone respects him.
11-26-2014 , 02:28 AM
if durant and rwb come back healthy in december it's going to be AMAZINg. they're going to have to win every regular season game and it'll be bonkers just to make the playoffs... at which time they'll be totally out of gas and lose in the first or second round unless steven adams is even better than i think he is

Na, Gay and Collison were out tonight. I believe it's been Collison, McLemore, Gay, Thompson, Cousins most of the year. Not that it changes your point much.

BMac is actually showing some signs imo. He could end up being pretty good.

Thompson is the biggest wtf on this team. Guy blows.

Derrick Rose may be mentally broke. Has there ever been an athlete so shook by their injury history that it ruined their career? I'm fully expecting him to pull a Barry Sanders and walk away from it all, no regrets.

they can easily pass the pels, suns and sac if KD and russ return.
11-26-2014 , 04:32 AM
It's not so much about passing the Pellies or whomever, it's about total wins. I think last year's 49 wins is a decent baseline, meaning they'll need to go 46-21 from here on out in order to make it. That's a .690 winning percentage, or the equivalent of a 57 win team from here on out.

The problem is we don't know when KD is coming back or how long it'll take either of them to get back to dominating.

Russ is due back in a couple of games minimum, and let's say they are a .500 team with RWB for the next 10 games. That puts them at 8-17, meaning they'll have to go 41-16 with KD just coming off a foot injury. That's an extrapolated 59 win pace, which is about the peak of previous OKC teams... and once again this is with those players stepping onto the court for the first time in a while.

Their margin for error is going to be ultra slim, and they'll be relying on two guys coming back from pretty major injuries.

What rational reason do the Kings have for not running Carl Landry with the starters?

Malone has been a godsend for Sactown this year so I try to not question his decisions too much at this point... but is there really any downside at all?
