Each additional championship he wins is gonna add to his longterm endorsement earnings potential. Giving up money to keep the core group together for as long as possible is probably in his financial interest. Im not sure to what extent but I dont think it's as cut and dry as saying money he leaves on table in salary negotiations is lost.

At some point the repeater tax bill is just gonna get too high and Lacob wont be able to eat it.

I don't think they were at the table and Lacob and Co were like - hey Kevin can you do us a solid and take a few million off here? That'd be super nice of you!!

If anything he probably talked with Iggy and Shaun about how much they wanted, and how much they were getting offered and worked it out amongst themselves. Sure maybe the ownership was bluffing a bit on how much tax they were willing to pay, but that's just part of their leverage in this very specific situation.

Everyone has pointed this out a bunch, but the marginal utility of extra dollars to KD is pretty small, and the one unique thing that he can "buy" is getting to play with guys he likes and knows he can win with. So he gets his boys paid on three year deals that no other team would have given, runs it back for a year, and has an option to rethink it next year if something goes sour. Seems like everyone wins on their end.

If the union is pissed about less total money going into the pot overall, they should punish the entire team then instead of just Durant because they're all benefitting from this and probably all in cahoots with each other anyways.

warriors trying to get nick young/jamal crawford.....seems like a waste at this point.

Plus who can pass up on that sweet southie snatch

So got a question

This proposed sign and trade

Gallo to LAC (don't have cap space to sign him outright)

Millsap to Denver

1st round pick, Crawford, stone to atl

Why do you agree to do this if you're Denver? I believe they are just getting some cash to basically help LAC become stronger and sign Gallo.

Wondering if clips can sign him either way?

Also note Denver is getting Millsap regardless

I heard "draft considerations" to Denver. So maybe a 2nd or two?
07-04-2017 , 11:56 AM
I thought Denver was getting an ATL second, so basically atl moves up 10 spots or so. I read it somewhere but don't remember, and tbh that seems like a deal where ATL gets hosed. It's weird that the details of the deal haven't been announced, maybe it's because of the holiday.

Kings can probably trade that contract to a contender and get some picks at some point.

Pretty good value.

VLADE styling really hard this offseason
07-04-2017 , 01:32 PM
ZBO to Kings 2/24
07-04-2017 , 01:33 PM
Kings solidifying themselves as solid contenders for the still too ****ty to playoff but good enough to get a ****ty draft pick trophy.

Is there a site that has real time projected starting lineups for each team? Need a one stop place to know who is where during FA/bath salt trade season

2/24 lol. What exactly is the point ?

Maybe the @SacramentoKings are trying to make a playoff run in the Eastern Conference.. should we tell them?

yes im quoting my own twitter

Don't.
07-04-2017 , 01:49 PM
Both those contracts are easily moveable for young assets when the kings are out of contention.

Not sure what there is to hate.
07-04-2017 , 01:50 PM
Kings have some decent assets. Don't really get the point of Hill and ZBO.

Fox-Hield-Whoever-Skal-WCS is bad enough to tank while still keeping fans engaged and being fun to watch and productive towards their development.

I know everyone hates Hield but I don't really get why. N.O. was a complete AIDSfest and he had a 60 TS% in 700+ minutes once he was traded. Should definitely trade Hill soon.
07-04-2017 , 01:58 PM
Kangz would be better off saving space to take on bad contracts + assets than paying ZBo, but seems ~fine.
07-04-2017 , 02:01 PM
Lol Hill, turned down a 4 years 70/80m extension from Jazz last year

Now goes to a hopeless team for less money
07-04-2017 , 02:02 PM
I like the value of Hill, but Zbo makes no sense. Doubt anybody else was paying him close to that and his contract will be un-moveable
