every team's value went up a ton with the new TV deal but warriors/cavs a ton more than most other teams %wise.

I wonder if most of the owners care about the dubs keeping this group together longterm. They stand to make a ton of $ off revenue sharing if Lacob and co eat the bill right?

I think Lacob will try to swing it but the cost seems prohibitive. Saw talk of PSLs to cover some of the costs in the new arena-- could cover upwards of 300 million-- which will piss off a lot of fans but they could prob survive the backlash given the success of the team. Still only way that I see them making it through in tact is if the cap projections are too low or if Lacob doesn't really care about maximizing the return on the team

that PSL stuff is criminal.

the 49ers pulled an bait and switch. i doubt the warriors do it but are PSL common place now for most teams?

Hayward apparently loves Rubio and told the Jazz he wanted to play with him.

He probably should have just signed with the Wolves :-/

What is the next plan for Ainge? I'm sure that will be the one that comes together.

The Chase Center opens in SF for 2019-2020. The Warriors remain committed to finding the top price for tickets. It's worth any luxury tax bill to have the best team possible while making the suite sales.

After they settle in to the new arena they can cut costs.

City of Boston sold their soul for sports championships so wouldn't be surprised if something popped off for the Celtics in the next couple of years.

Got Hayward running to the East at this point.

I say Hayward either stays with the Jazz or goes to EL HEAT.
07-03-2017 , 05:36 PM
Heat one time

It was known KD was going to take less than the full max saving the Warriors from using cap space to sign him. The latest report is he is taking less than the 20% raise possible with the non-bird exception. This will save quite a bit, especially if they sneak out of tax next year to push the 3/4 repeater penalty further away. Full credit to Curry for this surprise of course.

I'm not a fan of KD going lower when the only difference is the tax bill. Players should get paid.

not sure how common they are. prob moreso for new stadiums? either way people are going to flip **** about the but they will prob be able to swing it more easily b/c they are great and the niners are trash. still going to look bad though

niners were great when the seats were sold.

then everything went down.

The tax bill plays into who they keep tho.

I could see why Durant would want to do what he could to keep the previous core intact, as the benevolent perpetually new-guy.

so which teams will be tanking this year?
07-03-2017 , 05:55 PM
Im starting to think it's probable they let thompson walk. They'll have shaun/andre for the first year
07-03-2017 , 05:57 PM
I'de trade klay thompson for avery bradley & picks if i was them, shed salary, get a good 3+d player & get valuable picks you can use to get a s.g on the cheap next year if you don't decide to keep bradley.

Jazz slight favorite over the Heat IMO, Celtics a distant 3rd. Wife wanting the warm weather isn't good for Boston

I know it's Summer League, but Bam Adebayo looks unreal

yeah i mean, if they sell them they are banking on being good for a while. if they fall off abruptly for some reason it'll be terrible for them pr wise

wow. he really likes joe lacob. or more likely, lacob will take care of him
07-03-2017 , 06:45 PM
Kevin Durant not being paid the max sucks. CBA should force the top X players by whatever metric to be paid the max. Like if you're first team All-NBA for the last 3 years + under 35
