AJ doesn't understand how the salary cap works, and sides with billionaire scumbag Dan Gilbert over players.

Lol

What do you guys think?

Seems awful for Cleveland.

LeBron to Celtics
Horford/Crowder to Wolves
Wiggins/Dieng/Jaylen to Cavs

(hypothetical, not reporting some ridiculous news)
07-22-2017 , 11:19 AM
Knicks having Noah and Chandler's contract would be so Knicks.

Wolves would have to ship out like Aldrich + Bjellica to make $s work.

Teague
Butler
Crowder
Towns
Horford

Kyrie
Wiggins
Jaylen
Love
Deng

IT
Hayward
Tatum
LeBron
Zizic

Yeah, pretty dumb hypothetical, but kind of fun.

doubt the cavs can do much better than ending up w/melo. if terms of trades that would actually happen

Lebron finally shows a little commitment with a 2 year deal after winning the title and this is what Gilbert does. I wonder if he'd have let Griff go had Lebron been a free agent this year..

Some chatter (stephen a, isola, etc) that LBJs camp leaked the Kyrie news (seems to make sense because why would the Cavs lose their leverage and why would Kyrie wait a week).

Not sure what his angle is.

As a Knicks fan I will be livid if we trade Melo and two first rders for Kyrie. Kyrie basically seems like a 25 yr old version of Melo. A high octane scorer who doesn't pass and doesn't play defense. Sure take Melo for him but giving up multiple picks seems like the worst thing they can do.
07-22-2017 , 03:31 PM
I could live with Melo and one first. Not two.

Horrible deal for the cavs unless picks or other players involved. If cavs trade Kyrie i'm not sure why they keep Lebron though, really want to see a lebron trade as well just to shake up the league, *crosses fingers*.

If I was NYK I don't think I would even give up a first
07-22-2017 , 04:59 PM
I think LeBron paid Irving to do this. So Irving becomes the bad guy before LeBrand

Peak melo was much better than peak kyrie irving, and yes would be an awful trade for ny
07-22-2017 , 06:25 PM
incredible for the suns
07-22-2017 , 06:32 PM
Well, we may not have seen peak Irving, he just turned 25. It's not unthinkable that his peak is > Melo's. I don't think he's that far off actually

Edit: think you could make a reasonable argument that Kyrie now > peak melo actually. Melo played sketchy defense also and you can definitely argue Kyrie as being better offensively

i hate kyrie but he was actually pretty good last year, the first year of his professional career he really improved imo. still a disaster on defense, but it's not unreasonable to think he wouldn't be really awesome somewhere like utah or miami or something as the lead guy.

of course the team will never be a contender, but im just saying

If Bron is only going to be there one more year, I wonder if they'd actually ponder a deal centered around Dragic and picks.
07-22-2017 , 06:59 PM
Utah would be super interesting. Would need third team to take Rubio tho. Miami shouldn't give up much imo. Dragic, TJ, and Richardson (viewing TJ as negative contract)
