I mean it’s not factual that Mcgregor has sought out favorable matchups. He’s fought Khabib, Dustin, Dustin, Alvarez, and Mayweather. Also Diaz x2 and Cerrone at WW.

Conor had already beaten Dustin and was a sizeable favorite against him. He was also a sizeable favorite in his first fight against Nate as well as his fight with Cowboy. Eddie Alvarez is the exact type of fighter that Conor has done very well against..ie short in stature and reach (his listed height is not accurate).

Conor definitely cuts the line to get title shots but I do agree that he is not scared to fight anyone if it makes business sense and has even shown a willingness to fight an opponent on short notice (which many fighters will not).

Fact is, there aren't that many good matchups for McGregor at 155+. A good matchup would be someone like Marcus Brimage or Dennis Siver, ie 5'6" 145lbs 70" reach and limited wrestling. The two biggest wins of Conor's career were over a guy that now fights at 135lbs and another guy that's been getting his ass kicked in a smaller promotion in Asia for the last few years.
That recipe = Michael Chandler

Thoughts on Ferguson v Chandler?

Ferguson hasn't been competitive in his last 3 fights, not even remotely competitive.

Excited for Semelsberger vs. Fletcher. I am really high on Fletcher, think he is super-live, and hopped in on him at the +200 hangs earlier this week. I think this will probably be FOTN.

Ankalaev should lose just because he’s a massive favorite and done absolutely nothing. What a lame ass fight.

3 gigantic come from behind victories, 8 finishes. Great event. Better than even expected.

Good stuff except the main. Even though he lost, want to see more Terrance McKinney. Guy was a madman.

Anyone watching UFC London? Can't say I'm blown away by the card, but I'm just happy it's not on a silly o'clock for once!

Good card for a fight night, especially for those based in Europe.

Paul Craig is a mad bastard

I’ve already won the 155-pound title, I got myself down to a lightweight frame, but I’m big now. I feel big, I feel strong, I feel healthy, I’ve got good energy. I’m coming back after a gruesome injury. I do not want to deplete myself, there should be no need to deplete myself.

And I feel confident against Usman. A jab happy, sloppy, orthodox wrestler with no submissions whatsoever. What’s he gonna do? Where’s the danger here? I don’t see a danger with him. His ground-and-pound isn’t strong, plus he’s on the older side.
do it lmao

I think McGregor is just saying that to setup his move to 170 but Usman/Edwards is happening this summer so he won't be able to do that fight. Then as luck will have it, he will fight guys like Nate, Masvidal, Poirier at 170.

I do think the part that he doesn't wanna go back down to 155 my be true, he looks roided up these days.

If he wants Usman, he can fight Usman. That fight would do huge. Nobody gives a crap about Leon Edwards. Usman vs Edwards should probably be like a co-main rather than a main event, TBH.

Amazing day of fights. Great finish after great finish. I felt bad for the fighter at the beginning who thought he had 50g's locked up.

I'm saying he doesn't want Usman, he's just grandstanding.

Usman lol, he would be like -600 vs McGregor and while McGregor is a huge draw, he can't just keep losing every fight (and in this case, getting smashed)

I don't know what he wants. He's bulking up which makes no ****ing sense and he says he doesn't want to fight at 155lbs, which also makes no ****ing sense. The whole thing is ****ing ludicrous, but so was changing his entire style to boxing so I won't put anything past him.

Masvidal ran up on Covington outside a Miami steakhouse and swung on him?

Facing felony charges

wow....the thing is Masvidal says Cov talked about his kids but to my knowledge he didn't, he just said Jorge was a deadbeat dad
