Conor will just show up randomly and attack him with a dolly, then post the video on YouTube.

Fourth round of the Holloway fight became uncomfortable to watch. Kattar was genuinely reeling. Should have been stopped there.

Do towels not exist in MMA anymore?

Can't remember the last time I saw a corner call the fight, but I can recall at least 4-5 times in the last few years it probably should've been done.

Kattar was wobbled and would cover up but he was always defending himself intelligently (outside of Max being superior) and would strike back with power when wounded.

Actually thought it was a great job by Herb and an example of why you don't call it too quickly in MMA. He was still landing occasionally solid at the end of the fight.

Fo sho.

Unless, they talked off-air and it was intentional. I don't think bro would be that good of actor to get the timing that natural tho.

John revelead that Conor trained in orthodox stance for most of the camp and he asked Ariel to cut that out after he realized he slipped up

Ottman Azaitar was supposed to be on this card and just got cut from the UFC. Apparently Azaitar and his team cut their wristbands and handed them to others outside of the safe zone that snuck in past the security members and everything was caught on camera.

Can you imagine being this stupid and risking the cancelation of a Conor McGregor event?

JFC at the Ottman Azaitar story. How stupid can a person be.

I gotta say I'm looking forward to McGregor/Poirier less than I've looked forward to a Connor fight in awhile. Just think it is a pretty bad matchup for Poirier and that is reflected in the line.

(I've looked forward to all of McGregor's fights an immense amount so this is nitpicking a bit here but still....doesn't quite feel as big as all of the other times he's made the walk in the last 6 years)

Feel free to tell me why I'm wrong, agree, disagree, etc

It's less of a mismatch than Khabib vs Conor, especially considering where Conor was in his career, having been focused on boxing the previous year and even getting drunk during fight week.

And of course it's way way way way less of a mismatch than Floyd vs Conor.

For the odds to be correct you have to believe that Conor is something truly special, an all time great talent at lightweight. I'm actually buying into the Conor hype myself and think he has added the muscle needed to do what he did at FW, at LW (ie smoke great fighters like Poitier with ease).

However, at this point Conor is still relatively unproven at LW+. His only win over a top 5 guy was vs Eddie Alvarez who essentially went .500 in the division and at no point was the best in the division and was someone who Poirier also beat (would have beaten him twice if not for illegal knees from Alvarez).

John was pissing about, no way Conor comes out orthodox, his best weapon is the straight left.
Betting wise, the only value I see is Joana Calderwood at nearly evens, I think she should win the fight comfortably, although she didn't look good in her last fight.

I'm confused about the Azaitar story. What is the purpose of having a random guy bring a bag in?

I called it. Mcgregor too inactive and Poirier has improved too much.

Reverse jinx!

(tbh even when they were in the cage it didn't have the same McGregor "feel" to me though, it just didn't)

Wonder where McGregor goes from here, he has a gazillion dollars. Maybe fight Nate but who knows with him, could take another year off.
