You can understand though.....I haven't done the research but i'll go out on a limb and say that a large majority of the UFC followers are male. He's losing out on ~50% of a potential market. So bring in some women, get some female interest in the sport and he'll make a ton more money even if he does lose some male viewers along the way.

How often do women's fights end with someone getting KTFO? I'd imagine it's considerably less than men's fights, so it's probably not too much of a concern for her. At least not enough to change up what has obviously been a successful strategy for her.

I don't know one female that would sit and watch a UFC/mma show and most ladies I know would consider boxing too violent for women and mma to be nothing more than outrageous brutality.

Put on full female shows and I'm out.

The Tate vs Rousey fight was good and entertaining. It had the whole season of The Ultimate Fighter to build it up and had the benefit of being the co-main event to Silva vs Weidman 2 which was the most anticipated fight in recent memory.

Tonight was a bad card. The co-main event had potential til Evans got injured and some guy who doesnt have the talent filled in and the fight was a joke. Main event wasnt much better.

Honestly the worst card in recent memory. Not because it was headlined by women, its because it sucked.

I wasn't super happy with that stoppage, but rousey was winning that fight one way or another, imo. Challenger was hurt very badly by that knee, and Rousey had basically hit her hard with knee to the midsection like 7 times already in less than 90 seconds. Even if McMann gets up and continues, she's still in a world of pain and Rousey was getting those knees to the midsection with total impunity. And it's also basically impossible to resist a Judo takedown when your midsection is in incredible pain. Fight was over as soon as she landed that one great liver shot.

Hopefully, DW is smart enough not to have women headline a PPV event again.

Not saying that women´s MMA is **** (it is an inferior product to men´s MMA though imo), but it just isn´t entertaining enough to headline a PPV.

If Ronda wasn´t hot, no way this is a headline worthy fight.

I have no clue about DVDs, but UFC FightPass is still free and has a ton of their library. Theres also some UFC stuff on Netflix. Just google a "best UFC fights ever" list and go through it.

If you made an argument based on the technical aspects, I'd see your point, but from pure entertainment WMMA is killing right now. Granted, I've only seen 3, all from UFC cards, but each one has been two fighters throwing down, poise be damned. I don't see how anybody can watch the UFCs WMMA fights and not be a fan. Her fights with Tate and Carmouche were more enjoyable than most headliners last year.

I take it this becomes an obsession? I've been watching ufc since I came home from work and I love it. I'm wondering why it took me so long to start watching.

I'd go back and watch the old UFC 1-10 early days. Those are always super fun. When I first became I fan I would just pull up the wikipedia page for each tournament, then google all the matches to find their videos. You could watch most of them that way.

I'd recommend the same (I particularly enjoyed how inept those earlier fighters were against BJJ).
