Colby vs Masvidal should be next, Usman vs Burns. Usman is going to be a hard man to beat at 170.

This was like worst case scenario for UFC. Masvidal was probably their hottest start atm and the guy who was bringing in fans that dont watch every event. He losses some shine and Usman doesnt even get the boost from it because none of those people tuning in for Masvidal are going to come back for an Usman fight after such a boring fight.

This was my first time watching UFC but the judging seems really sketchy. I thought holloway won 3-2 however the 3rd round was close so I guess he can lose the fight 2-3.

Also the final fight, I think masvidal clearly won the 1st round so idk how 2 judges score it 50-45. IDK if MMA does 10-8 in a round for a lopsided round however I feel its a joke scoring is so odd.

yeah that fight sucked.....neither masvidal or usman looked very good, just a lot of cage control/grappling and dead time. 1 of the worst main events we've seen, especially for a fight with hype behind it.

Thought Max clearly won and looked great at first

Cannot bring myself to like or care about Usman one bit

Rose looked fantastic too, I think she is so sharp and fun to watch. Such an aesthetic fighting style

Idk if Rose wins if it was a 5 round fight.

Aldo was getting beat down on the ground for awhile.

I only saw the first 2 round of Holloway fight and surprised he lost, seemed like he had control.

So is this Usman style or did I just see a let down fight from him? He controlled the fight but every round was rinse and repeat. Reminded me of the later GSP fights, dominate but very boring.

I thought Volkan won rds 3-4-5...obv rd 3 was a very close rd, all 3 judges had him winning rd 3 tho

just 1 judge had him losing rd 5 which was wrong

yeah Max rd 1-2 were better than any Volkan rds but that isnt the sport obv

Volkan vs winner of Zombie/Ortega

Yan vs Aljo

Usman vs Burns

pretty logical place to go for all the winners

Usman did what he should have done. I think the fight is probably more entertaining if he has more than 6 days to prepare. It would have been pretty dumb to just head out and bang with Jorge with no preparation.

Cormier vs Anderson Silva comes to mind as an example of this.

Jones got popped by USADA like 3 days before the fight and it was ufc 200 so anderson stepped in

nunes/tate ended up headlining

251 reportedly got 1.3m buys, wonder what it would've got with burns instead, maybe like 40% of that

Pretty good main event Wednesday night Kattar vs Ige, even though i thought Ige lost his last fight to Barboza. 145 lb has alot of great fighters right now and im pretty excited to see how the matchmaking goes. Im guessing Zabit gets the next shot at the belt and I cant wait for the next Ortega fight as that guy was becoming one of my favourite fighters to watch.

Yeah zabit vs yair would be amazing and I’m guessing they go ahead with the previously planned Ortega vs zombie which would be awesome too. If Katharine has an impressive win he might as well shoot his shot and call out volkanovski if everyone ahead of him already has a fight lined up.

Yeah im really confident in Kattar winning but Im also always wrong when Im this confident. Card definitely lacks starpower but im hoping its one of those underrated cards that has alot of enjoyable fights.

Actually a couple good perfomances tonight. Murphy looked good, Chimaev looked an absolute force and this Alhassan vs Lazzez fight is really good.

Any thoughts on the fights tonight? Think Hermanson can just grind Gastelum, seems like a bad style matchup for Kelvin when he is against a fighter that won't stand with him. Similar to the Weidman fight.

Think Benevidez is game but fight is gonna be mostly standup and think Figueredo finds his chin eventually for the KO.

Not really strong on either though...

That is as dominant of a round as I can remember, 3 knockdowns, almost had Benavidez subbed like 3x, ref really let Benavidez go out on his shield since this is likely his last shot at the big 1
