When I went to the HoF last year my proudest photo is of me and the Phanatic. What an absolute legend of a mascot.

With Trout injured now he's certainly the favorite as it stands.

But he has no history of being such a masher. In the minors he never put up numbers like this. He never OPS'd over .900 in the minors at any level so it's hard to imagine he can do it so soon in the bigs.

So I'd bet on a regression. I'd at least be willing to bet that after 100 games his OBP/SLG will be below .400/.600 (it's at .427/.680 now after 49 games)

Somehow, every 5th day, Patrick Corbin still gets to pitch. I don't get it. Put him and Yasmany Tomas on a plane and send them somewhere far far away.

Of course he has a chance. He's second only to the injured Trout in OPS, leading the league in HR, 3rd in RBI etc, 3rd in WAR (behind Trout and Ervin Santana!).

How can you say he has no chance?
