I've never seen the splits, but during his time in Atlanta he is the one guy I'd actually believe just can't pitch for **** if it's not a save situation, if I had to pick one guy

He was brought in in the 8th when it was 4-1 and two runners on. Might as well keep him in for the 9th too.

He struck out 3 of the 7 batters he faced. Pretty good situation we have when we consider that a disappointing outing.

That picture was the background on my school laptop for probably 3 months. What a moon shot that was-Lidge's reaction will forever be ingrained in my brain. It gets forgot due to zomgYankeesRedsox, but those two battles between the Astros and Cardinals in '04/'05 were awesome

Yeah, I accidentally listened to sports talk radio the other day and one of the local morons was gushing over Fernando Rodney being 2nd in the NL in saves, and how his deal was the best thing the Dbacks did in the offseason.

The other guy who is a bit more intelligent pointed out how everyone in the top 10 of the majors in saves has like under a 3.5 ERA and then there is Rodney sitting with 6+. Then the idiot gushed about his really good May and the other guy said yeah, that helped him improve his ERA down from 12+.
