Maybe when ten hairs gets to spend another 500m on **** Eredevisie players, United will be able to do more than just have their keeper pass back and forth with the CBs and they can actually do some attacking rather than playing on the counter constantly like a Championship side.

I felt we were clearly the dominant side and unlucky to not score more goals.

Maybe im crazy but spuds could be the third best team right now.

If we are then everyone else is bad.

Better finishing from our opponents we could easily have lost 2 games etc. Bruno missed basically an open headed goal lol.

1CB, 2 RB injured, poor subs for sure but Arse Still gotta drag and foul a 35yr old 3 time prem title 1 x Cl winner to get a goal. Arsenal got lucky today & as far as good things - yea they are worth the 1 x FA Cup in 1.5 decades? Gooner things happen.

Arsenal did not "get lucky" today. Felt they were definitely the better team.

We looked good on the ball, but lacked real penetrating attacks.

Still think Lego Pep is trying this new Havertz based system - which is still struggling a bit.

I think he will be coming good, but definitely does not help his agenda that he forgot how to strike a ball.

Fabio Viera on the other hand is turning into a real midfield maestro as we speak. I'm all here for it.

Havertz needs to buy rice an amazing Christmas present after making sure that he isn't THE talking point of the game with the miss then giveaway.

Havertz is legit terrible so I can see why that system would struggle

Listen, if Lego Pep is saying he is gonna be good, he is gonna be good.

I learned this lesson with Xhaka - which was a waaaaay bigger hill to climb.

Also feel for Sancho. I know he struggled with mental health last season. He was quite good in preseason though, so would legitimately be interested what happened there

Well Xhaka >>> Havertz but respect for the faith in Lego Pep

Sancho isn’t playing bc, like Havertz, he isn’t very good

Listen. I was 1000% convinced Xhaka does not have any sort of place in the team. Kind of convinced about Havertz being the same now, but if Lego Pep says he is gonna be good I believe him

Sancho was excellent in preseason, than now is being left out of the squad - something must be going on there.

Also also the called back penalty yesterday should set an interesting precedent as there was contact even though Havertz made the most of it. I dont mind these pens not being called, but what are the chances this will be consistently enforced? Im guessing not much.

Doubt it could be classified as a clear and obvious error to give it either, but after this weekend I dont know what the rules are... Waiting what the decisions will be is kind of like waiting to open a present - you never quite know what you are going to get

Decisions Against United 23-24

A lot of contenders this week as we continue to be punished by the refs for the week long Onana vs Wolves inquest. Fair play to VAR for rescuing us from Anthony Taylor’s determination to reward Havert’s dive. He wasn’t so quick to award a pen down the other end was he? I’ve chosen this one because the replay was never shown on British TV, despite ETH mentioning it in his interview.

Feels like being the least worst is a pretty good predictor of top 4. Like Arsenal, we have a settled and strong first 11, and I'd guess we are warm favourites for top 4 if we can stay mainly healthy (particularly Madders and Bissouma).

Tottenham have no European football to worry about either, which should help their league form.

Will definitely decrease the risk of injuries. AFCON will also be a bit of a worry, but Hojberg and Bentancur (when he's back) should be fairly reliable midfield replacements for Sarr & Bissouma for a few weeks.

Now that Varane/Lisandro is out we may get a bit of Evans/Maguire in the mix.

Joking and memes aside, United really let the transfer window walk past them from a defensive perspective - 2 early injuries and they are really playing Evans. I almost spat my beer out yesterday when he came on.

Think Spurs is going to be largely alright on early season form, but will be interesting to see what happens against the likes of City/Pool/Arsenal where leaving so much space in bringing out the ball can result in instant punishment. We've seen it with our early days how that can work out, but it wont be boring that's for sure.

God I hate it that I like the spurs manager...this is what it must be like to be bisexual in the bible belt.

Sancho has put himself out of business with that statement. 10H doesn't appreciate that

MU didn't get rid of enough dead wood. Maguire, vdBeek, McTominay, Sancho all needed to gtfo

That's down to the club. They could have raised money for any decent centerback, rather than sign Evans for a bag of chips and a pint
