Fair enough.

I actually think that Chelsea have been way better than their results too. They probably need someone to finish all the chances though.

Yeah, good luck offloading that 350k/wk contract.

Spoiler:
I’d take him. A change of scenery and he’d be right as rain.

Saw some of this on Twitter…disgusting. Feel extra sorry that she had to extensively document everything as well, as these cases are so hard to convict.

This+defending Overmars+not dismissing the idea of bringing Greenwood back outright does not shine a great light on Bin Bag’s character.

I think that given how good he was at Dortmund as recently as 2 years ago he'll probably find takers at the highest level so I wouldn't imagine it'll be too difficult.

Man United are just a big vortex that ruins otherwise excellent players.

It makes perfect sense for Liverpool to let Salah go to Saudi in January, pick up Sancho on the cheap and see over the next few months if he is actually still decent.

MU didn't get rid of enough dead wood. Maguire, vdBeek, McTominay, Sancho all needed to gtfo

That's down to the club. They could have raised money for any decent centerback, rather than sign Evans for a bag of chips and a pint
The Glazers have allowed this to happen for too long. Too much dithering. They also turned down a £30m bid for McT?! They’re never seeing that bid again and that £30m could’ve gone a very long way to bringing in a younger CB or Pavard.

Maguire turning down West Ham is his prerogative, but the higher ups clearly didn’t make it clear enough that he shouldn’t have a place at United going forward.

Donny seemingly only wanted the “perfect” move instead of the one that gets him playing full time again. I’ve liked Donny in the past, but he can get stuffed at this point as well.

Hell, Eric Bailly is still, somehow on the books!

It’s not like we haven’t seen this before though. Whether it’s Van Gaal, Mourinho, or now Ten Hag, the Glazers will Chuck money at players the first season and then **** up the next summer.

In some senses I feel for Sancho, but him speaking out is yet another showing of the inmates running the asylum and undermining the manager. It all starts from the top and I just badly hope that the sale goes through sooner than later (hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha).

Sancho isn’t going to Liverpool. I don’t think any of us posting here were close to alive when United and Pool last transferred a player between the clubs.

Yeah, perhaps a move back there or at least abroad would help sort him out (and I hope so, because he’s an absolutely wonderful talent), but you know even to a big club like Dortmund, United are going to be eating at least 200k of that contract.

Seeing more details about this Antony **** and it’s really nauseating.

Re: Antony how incredibly ****ing stupid are people/footballers? Like obviously blows my mind how anyone could lay their hands on a woman, especially one they’re in an intimate relationship with, and on top of that in 2023 social media era to not know everyone will see/hear/read about it.

I was prepared for this to be bad, but it somehow vastly exceeded my worst expectations.

I’m firmly in the camp that players have every right to make the very best living they can as professionals. I know it sounds cold, but if his move especially hurt the feelings of LGBT Pool fans, too bad. Players don’t really owe any of us.

But for the love of good, just shut the **** up and cash the checks. Don’t try to spin it and lie like he did saying “I’ve never been motivated by money” or even worse “I’m sorry they feel that way.” Just SHUT THE **** UP.

By saying he's not there for the money, he's actually made himself look worse.
Taking the money is understandable. Morally wrong, but understandable.
He doesn't even have that excuse now, What a tool.

He set himself up by declaring himself an LGBTQ ally. Every other player has basically been left alone as people understand they’re going to live somewhere **** in return for a fat stack of cash.

He was happy to support the cause until it wasn’t detrimental to his own financial situation.

Why is Jordan Henderson doing interviews? Especially with the Athletic who has a huge disclaimer at the top of their article that the people the interview get zero say in the editing process or headline.

I do think Jordan Henderson genuinely cared about LBGTQ community more than the average player who just goes with the social trend of the month to not be bothered or criticized. I also think he’s got there and lives the life of the Uber wealthy that is so far detached from the average citizen and has convinced himself it’s not that bad.

He’s also a case study for why players never stick their necks out for any cause that is not en vogue and why they never do raw, unedited interviews full of cliche answers overseen by PR teams.

You took the money. There’s nothing wrong with that. Even if you’ve convinced yourself you moved for more than money the correct, most accepted public response is you took the money. Everyone is a sell out. You’re just another one. Not that big of a deal. People support causes until they have to make an actual sacrifice or compromise themselves all the time. Even The Athletic ran a bunch of articles that were extremely critical of gambling and betting sponsors and now their website, that was supposed to be ad free, is now littered with gambling and betting ads

Yeah just take the money, shut up, and if you still wanna pretend you care about anything else then you use a fraction of your stacks to start your own foundation (for a completely unrelated cause). Surely that's exactly what people would advise him. Is he a stubborn narcissist?

Or take the money and do something good with it. And that doesn’t mean nipping to Dubai every week after the game to go Roger Mooreing.
