Chelsea just speed running through all the things that have been banned/shunned in American sports leagues already.

like the contract amortization was straight from the NHL. wasn't it ilya kovalchuk that signed a 17 year deal where the last years he got paid nothing in order to minimize the average.

I see Sir Jim does not have any regard for these PR shenanigans.

First the no girls allowed and now with the big 6 (Im guessing commercially/historically big6) should have more rights. Looking forward to his opinions on foreign player quota and immigration.

One hell of a winning goal in the Atlanta United game yesterday if you've not seen it already and/or read the MLS thread

Played really well in the promotion season without ever really making a spot his own.
Solid squad player who can play pretty much anywhere.
Would’ve been perfect in the 80s when you could only name one sub.

Looks like a hell of a player. Hesitate to call him a defender because I don’t see him doing much of that in all the highlights. That must mean Zinchenko is off because we’ve got quite a lot of competition for selection in the back four now.

Half expecting Juve to swoop in with one of their trademark 2-year loan with a 20m obligation soon.

Apparently we’re in for a “mystery” German player too.

Zinny or Kiwior or both. Remember, TImber is back.

The return of (theoretically a fully healthy) Timber could also be huge for this. You had the best defense in the league last season, but is Gabriel truly mobile enough for someone like Calafiore? You’re beyond fine with Saliba, but you really want speed with the other CB if you’re gonna get the most out of Calafiore.

If Timber is fully healthy, it’ll be a lot of fun to watch you when you’re not playing United(well, even more fun that right now).

Also our defensive depth will look different. One injury to Gabriel or Saliba and we are cooked. This way it will be a bit calmer, we cant run as purely with injuries as last year.

I really want the "mystery German" we're after to be Wirtz

Thiago has retired. Hell of a player. Shame we got him so late in the day, was still a beast when he did play for us tho.

Fair play to him for not going over to Saudi and phone in a couple of years for the cash.

Superb business for Palace.

Now the majority of that can be spent on Eddie.

Thought Palace could’ve got more.
I expect them to come in for Gnonto or Summerville.

yeah. that was just the release clause i think.

i guess if you mean they locked him up to a slightly higher release clause than last year when chelsea was trying to trigger it, then i guess it's good business. he should have pulled 70 with no clause though.
