If you are a hardcore fan of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's writing, you won't like the series.
I think it brought a very innovative and fresh touch to the image of Sherlock Holmes.
Much better than that failure of a movie with Robert Downey Jr.

This article investigated beliefs and facts concerning the sequential
characteristics of hits and misses in basketball. Our survey shows that
basketball fans believe that a player’s chances of hitting a basket are
greater following a hit than following a miss. Similar beliefs were expressed
by professional basketball players. However, the outcomes of
both field goal and free throw attempts were largely independent of the
outcome of the previous attempt. Moreover, the frequency of streaks in
players’ records did not exceed the frequency predicted by a binomial
model that assumes a constant hit rate.

Agree with this. It's a series I liked to watch, and I usually never watch those!

I don't think I ever read a single one of Doyle's Holmes books, so that won't be an issue. I'm usually a fan of Downey Jr., but that movie (and they made more than one, didn't they?) was such utter AIDS that I turned it off something like 20 minutes in.

Sherlock is great. It's set in current day London. Better than the RDJ stuff, which is much more of a comedy.

I don't think it was meant to be a comedy, but it's definitely laughable.

The last couple of Sherlock episodes became a little annoying for me; felt like they were trying too hard to be cool with the flashbacks, multiple perspectives, alternative camera angles etc to the detriment of the actual plot. First few seasons were excellent though, and both Freeman and Cucumberpatch are superb actors.

OJ Simpson show is great, only on part 3 tho.

I'd watch any Sherlock*, preferably in black and white.

*except for the one that had a ****ing dinosaur running about Victorian London....got someone to load the new Sherlock movie onto a data stick and gave me this ****........http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1522835/

Wanker.

Adam Johnson says he Googled 'legal age of consent' during a dressing room chat with Sunderland players about "different ages and rules in the world"

Genius.

Series 1 is fantastic, Series 2 is patchy but generally good, Series 3 is terrible.

Still, credit for actually doing some reading in attempt to get up to speed with the empirical research.

Yeah, as many have said, first six episodes are really fun and well worth a watch. The next four from meh to terrible.

We did discuss it, but I don't think you, or anyone else gave a satisfactory response to it.

lolelrazor has too much momentum vs the scientific method of hypothesising lolelrazor and constantly testing it

Bolton sold to Dean Holdsworth for initial fee of £7.5m. So for those playing at home you could buy Bolton five times and have some change or buy Mangala

Gone in hard as I can on Burton to win League 1 @ 4/5, plz do it (along with Leicester)

If any United supporters have faith left, I'd like to have Shrewsbury for the lulz tonight. My 10€ to someone's 90€, Stars only, quote to book. (you have draw+Utd, ldo)

Edit: Also doable in $, if it is preferred.

Yes, I'm still bitter.

Bolton manager Owen Coyle is delighted with his side's "fantastic" victory over relegation rivals Wolves.

Coyle believes Wanderers now have momentum following their third consecutive victory, and is confident his side can beat the drop.
Spoiler:
bolton did not beat the drop

Surprised Elrazor has a really poor style of debate considering level of qualifications. I know the internet is a place where people are desperate to be right - as opposed to learn, gather information, reassess positions - but you'd think someone with a masters would know better.

Edit: nothing to do with article posted earlier either and could be a result of neither side respecting the other side. The other side is just as bad as elrazor imo. But they're exempt from criticism as no masters, so know no better.

a chimp could get a masters with a little bit of effort

A Masters in which subject (and from which university), is what's important.

Is it wrong that I want Leicester to fail so I can post my song Momendtum? If they win the league, the song never sees the light of day. Variance.

Hey, I also have a masters and I'm also always right, but I agree with you, I don't know what to think

But yeah, depending on country, I think masters are kinda easy to obtain nowadays and with every passing year the title has less to do with the dabate style of the person holding it.
