Not the prettiest half of basketball, but I'll take an 8 point lead at UConn at the break. Our offense still tilts me with guys standing around watching and bricking free throws and Matt god damned Hill being on the team at all, but our defense has looked like Muschamp is coaching them.

Matt Hill is from Lincoln. He was the state's best player as a senior but I don't think anybody thought he would ever see much PT for Texas....kind of a waste of a college career.

He has a hot sister though....former VB player for KU.

It worries me more than a little that Baylor and others have played KSU better than we did.

Some really bad officiating though. Cade Davis runs into Craig Brackins on his was to the hoop. One ref calls a charge, the other calls a block, neither one wants to change so they call a double foul. WTF

Oh yeah. They said they've never seen that called like that before. There was another double foul called earlier in the game when two players got tangled up going for a rebound. Outside of technicals, I've never seen a double foul called before.

What's up with BigXII refs? Several times tonight one or more officials wouldn't make a call that was directly in front of them...they'd look to the other zebra for the call who each time was shocked that the other didn't make it.

Was confused that Tech basically gave up with 1.5 minutes left...I thought for sure Knight would make us shoot free throws (think Duke v Maryland when Duke overcame a 10 point deficit in 1 minute by playing the free throw game)

Texas still can't shoot free throws. Free throws were the main reason Memphis loss to KU in the championship 2 seasons ago and it will be the downfall of the Horns' if not improved.

Nice win for the Huskers, now that we've already played I find myself pulling for your team. Tech started our game red-hot, then really struggled and we take a 5 point lead into the locker room. Loubeau+Davis have been able to get whatever the want in the post, only question is will our guards stop shooting 3s and get them the rock. We're 1-8 from 3, back down to 20% from 3 in big 12 play.

That was a good game.

NU keeps up the pace and handles OU. They need to have this kind of effort in every game.
