Who finishes higher than this Lakers team besides Houston and GS? Outside of those two teams nobody else in the West won 50 games. Portland was the 3 seed.

Does Labron make it out of the first round again? What’s his record vs Bestern conference teams? Like 3 and 8?

Something that doesn't get enough credit for why they lost Lebron is that they absolutely continued to do really good at 2nd rounders and late 1sts, they just didn't keep any of them. They originally drafted Jae Crowder, Allen Crabbe, Joe Harris, and Tyus Jones with very late picks, but traded Crowder, Crabbe, and Jones on draft night in deals they lost, and dumped Harris to free up roster space they ended up not needing.
Cavs never relied on young players other than Kyrie. One of the Lebron curses or issues with him is he doesn't like or doesn't work with young players. Seems like the Lakers are going to be in a weird spot if Lonzo, Kuzma and Ingram are around.

Yeah, they hit on some picks but most were immediately traded and never developed internally. Lack of value rookie deals and 2nd contracts which are value is totally missing for the Cavs and Heat teams.

"Stephen A. Smith reports that James and Johnson spent three hours meeting together at 9:01 AM PST. James and Johnson had never sat down and talked before the start of free agency."

" Dave McMenamin tweeted that Cavs general manager Koby Altman spoke to both Rich Paul and LeBron James over the phone at 12:01 a.m., sources tell ESPN"

It never ceases to amaze me how the East manages to get worse every single year without exception

How about...

Kobe RETURNS to the Lakers to take on a Manu Ginobili type role and play 24 mins off the bench without playing b2b's.

I mean he only turns 40 next month and his body has been resting up for 2 years. Just go to Germany midseason for that special treatment if he has to imo.

I loved the signing. Plus its only a one year deal so 2019 cap space is preserved.

Good deal for Gordon & the Magic, Orlando needs some guards badly.

Weird Kyrie is coming back from injury, same with Gordon. Tatum will likely get better same thing with JB. Not sure how on earth you think they get worse.

SImmons won't be a rookie, Embiid will basically be playing his second season. These takes are all sorts of awful. Sixers not only have their current assets but a ton of future assets. Celtics have insane future assets. Not sure how either team is getting worse.

The only thing about it is that the Knicks don't have a p.g to setup plays for Hezonja & he can't really get his own shot. Either way, he's a 6'8, athletic 220-230lb s.f who can shoot & shouldn't be a terrible defender, i hope he shows the league that the Magic held him back.

Yeah I was actually really pumped when they drafted Tyus Jones and a bit dumbfounded when they quickly shipped him off.

Hey wolves and nugs fans, your teams wouldn't have made it into the finals playing in the east instead.
