22 year old big guard posting 17/4/4 on 21 PER 66TS%.

Not knowing that’s a max guy is irredeemably bad.

Well one of them killed themselves, their payroll was 1/3 of what it will be next year as it stands now and those were also the peak Thunder years pretty much so ya...

Can't think of anyone off hand. Ingles and Danny Green went from dumpster bin to good $ contracts. Whiteside maybe a better example as he got a max (he played in Beirut!), but he's a headcase.

BTW, assani talks about how we're not really sharp. I advocated signing Ingles days before his first Utah contract.

Outspend the market on DWest
Oustpend the market for BB
Sign Joe Ingles (prbly near min, has size and can pass)
Sign Xavier Henry (again near min)
Resign Casspi

Ya but he killed himself cause he was facing time in the klink, little diff.

As far as OKC....Houston just lost Ariza for nothing, GS is going on year 5 next year and seemed to have trouble with the grind this year. OKC gets Roberson back, Grant has become a solid roleplayer and they should be a top tier D team if healthy.

Not saying they're gonna win the West but I like their chances as well as anyone outside of the big 2 and it's possible given CP age/Ariza departure that Hou comes back to the pack a little.

They're a good but flawed West team similar to everyone else besides GS and possibly Hou.

Ok. That was still the issue. They were willing to go to 60 but not 65 if I remember right.

I didn't think they'd let him go and was repeating that in TZ. I did like Jeremy Lamb beforehand, he's had a weird career. He played in SL for Hou.

eta: I forgot about Grant, another guy with length. Young, athletic, long teams are who have pushed them in the reg season.

I can't believe George stayed with okc for multi year deal. Seems like such a bad move for his career. I mean he and Westbrook will always have an ok team but won't ever have enough to take down rings. Also even though he probably gets more money in his okc contract his endorsement deals will be so much less than if he went to the lakers. Him coming to L.A (his homeland) to play with future stars plus some other huge superstars that would have potentially gone there as well if he did seems like it would have risen his stardom. And if he took the Lakers to a championship he would have been the toast of the town/potential Laker legend.

I don't get it. Seems like a good dude so would loved to have seen him with lakers. But maybe he just doesn't like the limelight.

How is Magic a billionaire? He seems terrible at every job he’s ever had. He couldn’t even go through life without getting AIDS

Not a huge fan of LeBron psychoanalysis chemistry stuff. But I think it is possible George wasn't all that enthusiastic to be his sidekick. LeBron's shadow looms large. Maybe too large. Always a lot of drama and spotlight around his teams and LA would be no different.

He made a lot of money in the nba and invested it wisely. His name is worth a ton even now and he owns businesses including movie theatres.

Maybe PG13 is happy and really likes Russ?

He only has to spend so much time in OKC (compared to the rest of the year, including the season where you're on the road no matter what). There's some pluses in a city like it is too.

So, Lakers out of Russ-2019 sweepstakes most likely, too.

He might feel some loyalty to the org considering they gave up assets on the chance that he'd chose them.

He might love Billy bc he's a players' friendly guy that lets them do whatever? Who knows?

I wonder if PG’s decision gives Spurs some more leverage w/Kawhi.

You, too, can persuade a one-year rental to re-up.

Yes and no, I think it helps but keep in mind OKC didn't give up much for PG at the time.

It might help to get Phi to pony up but still can't see Celts giving a ton without a commitment.

They have to be happy there's two teams in LA.

Really? Felt right in line.

Pretty similar to the Harden return.

Dipo was considered a clown after the OKC/Hou series last year. Couldn't buy Russ 2 minutes on the bench.

This still could've been the reality, and it just panned out.

They say they're friends so I bet that has a lot to do with his decision. But I think I would tell my buddy that how can I pass this opportunity up as every arrow points to L.A. for him. It seems like the most perfect fit ever.
