Logic is the evidence, that type of outrageous credit expansion would never be possible without ultra loose monetary policy from the Fed.
Bahahahaha.

Like, that Cain quote about widespread media talk was from 2005. The Krugman video was from 2006.

If you can't get someone who actually cares about the policies, at least get an actor who can remember his lines.

It's not "bad at public speaking" it's that Perry remembers his cues but not the content. See: attacks on Romney, three departments, etc.

Being consistently terrible is not a slump. A slump means you were once doing well. Perry peaked pretty much as soon as he entered the race.

Well he's obviously been successful in politics somehow. He's been awful throughout this race, but he's not just a random schmuck who stumbled in off the street. I have to think that he has done this pretty capably before.

I'm not a big Perry fan but suggesting he doesn't care about the policies is pretty far fetched. Suggesting he's not good under pressure is a lot more reasonable and not a trait I find too appealing for a Presidential candidate.

I'm not familiar with his previous work, but I assume in his Texas races he knew what his platform was and why he didn't like his opponents without someone having to whisper it in his ear.

But OK, I don't really know enough about him to distinguish between that and the idea that he just cracks under pressure, and that this is just much more challenging than state politics.

It's bizarre to me that a "successful politician" hasn't gotten his act together in the weeks since it first became obvious that he was underperforming in these "debates". It's not even the debate part that's tripping him up. He's messing up his prepared material.

Book on the Perry campaign one time.

It must hurt to be one of the staffers who abandoned Gingrich for Perry earlier this year.

Or maybe it's part of the plan.

Unclear. Perry's still got a lot more money, right?
11-12-2011 , 01:58 PM
He can't remember.
11-12-2011 , 01:59 PM
That depends on your motivation to be a staffer.

I'm pretty sure the last 2 pics posted above are photoshopped.

Ron Paul has a nice set of bosoms when he's not wearing a suit.
11-12-2011 , 04:08 PM
Well, I'm convinced that it's a shop because that's not what Mitt Romney and Ron Paul's bodies look like. But the original doesn't look shopped to me at all. When you're putting your arm around someone's waist for a picture, and that person is standing very close to you, your elbow naturally goes behind your back, taking your arm with it. Try it. And when the camera is at an angle, your arm can very easily be blocked by your body.

Besides that, nothing else looks like a shop. The lighting is consistent, and I can't see any visual evidence of any compositing having been done. If it is a shop, then it's an incredibly good one. But I don't think it is.
