First of all, the hill Clovis chose to die on was with respect to first time. That has nothing to do with the glass of water episode. That one was clearly intentional and though we can debate over what her precise intention was, it was clearly on purpose. Even clovis admits this now.

As far as the second one is concerned (i.e., the one you are referring to), Clovis sees that and admits that he was wrong abut the first one. This means that clovis is not buying the innocent "OK sign over a glass of water" bulll****. So if you actually believe that story, then what you're really saying is that Clovis is wrong (for changing his position).

But he's not wrong for changing his position. Even if she truly was making the OK for a glass of water, that is 100% trolling after the first episode. As has been pointed out, there are other ways she could have conveyed what she was trying to communicate. The fact that she picks that particular way is telling to anyone who is not an idiot.

No one's freaking out or thinks what Bash did is anywhere near as significant the other stuff you mention. Sometimes people just like to discuss inconsequential ****.

I've seen people arguing that the WP "OK" was invented as a troll. That's the latest justification going around. I don't think it matters.
