Maybe Kushner and Flynn as the type of guys that find out you're moving and send you a text saying they'd be happy to help even if you haven't talked to them in months. Corrupt as hell, but absurdly nice.

Illustrator Drew Friedman writes about working for Jared Kushner
Quote:
After Jared's speech, I told Kathy and the Juhasz's that I was going to go introduce myself to Jared, knowing that he enjoyed, and had purchased my artwork. Jared was standing at the bar holding a glass of champagne. I approached him and said, "Hi Jared, I'm Drew Friedman". He grasped my hand, surveyed the crowds, and responded "Hi Drew, I'd really like to talk with you, but there are many far more important people here for me to talk to right now".

In more Kushner news, NYT Magazine on Sunday did a pretty in-depth article about how he manages a ton of lower income rental properties. Apparently they've found huge profits in going after low income tenants and former tenants with legal claims directed at all sorts of bull****. Worth a read.

That Trump tweet is from 2015 but yeah still a ****ing embarrassment.

Also I saw elsewhere that neither Guccifer nor the DC Leaks accounts have tweeted even once since Trump took office, weird that

is trump the biggest blowhard of all-time?

He should have led with a comment on Huey Lewis' latest album, they'd have been engaged in convo for hours afterward.

Trump's actions have 'weakened' the West, German foreign minister says

Quote:
Germany's foreign minister launched a scathing criticism of Donald Trump on Monday, claiming the US President's actions have "weakened" the West and accusing the US government of standing "against the interests of the European Union."

Just 24 hours after German Chancellor Angela Merkel declared that Europe could no longer completely rely on traditional allies such as the US and Britain, the country's top diplomat, Sigmar Gabriel, went a step further.

"Anyone who accelerates climate change by weakening environmental protection, who sells more weapons in conflict zones and who does not want to politically resolve religious conflicts is putting peace in Europe at risk," Gabriel said.

"The short-sighted policies of the American government stand against the interests of the European Union. The West has become smaller, at least it has become weaker."

sure. I work closely with oncologists. they are mostly compassionate and generally quite liberal. also, they're often insufferable.

Trudeau wore NATO socks and is now bffs with Macron, I take it Canada doesn't intend to follow the US's lead on ****ing up its relationship with Europe. Will the special relationship between Canada and the US be permanently and detrimentally altered by the Trump presidency?
05-29-2017 , 12:45 PM
I dont see how it wouldnt be, trudeau and trump are taking canada and the us in completely opposite directions on economic and social policy

It's still an interesting topic (at least for this Canadian.)

Most of Canada doesn't have much to worry about. When our relationship goes into the toilet we'll probably only invade Alberta.
05-29-2017 , 12:57 PM
I hate Alberta, you can have it. Take all the Albertans while you're at it.
